Like Windows, Facebook, and others; it is the platform that makes Linux scalable. With that being, we'd like to create a platform for other developers to collaborate and develop their own.
This is awesome. Our company also does virtual appliances through different operating systems. It'd be nice to learn more. We also use the virtual appliances for exchange, saas, NFS, and web servers.
It could have been a huge potential, but what the founder lacked IMHO was he did not heed the advice of experienced pundits who'd like to further develop this space.
The founder lacked experience. It was purely luck that brought this about. He has no clue what he's doing, or he would have already done something to make the site better. He's done virtually nothing.
And this is where the startup needs to partner up with other powerful conglomerates. Like YouTube going to Google after being relentlessly sued by Viacom.
