Any prospects for mid-level engineers in the near future? Thanks!

This site is a bit of a copycat to whoaremyrepresentatives.org, but I made it go a little further and utilize additional APIs (OpenStates, ProPublica, Federal Register) beyond Google’s Civic Information API to gather detailed information about legislators and elected executive branch officials such as the President and State Governors.

If you encounter any issues with the initial listing of public officials, the data comes from the Google Civic API and they have an error report form here: https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLScFpFTOkTpm0YoerLLp...

Any issues on specific representative pages I can look into and will potentially pass onto the other API owners if it’s data-related.

I'd have loved to incorporate precinct-level and jurisdictional data (judges and officials below the county-level like school board, board of elections, township supervisors, etc.) but the Google Civic Info API is not that granular and there aren’t many resources available at the moment.

This is my first time developing an app with Vue.js so any and all feedback is appreciated! Front-end source code is available here: https://github.com/pll33/whoaremyreps

Same boat as you but I do have a CS degree.

I have almost 2 years of professional experience but technically it's like '6 months 4 times' considering they were internships/contractual employment.

I've done projects with several frameworks and libraries on my own but not professionally. Regardless, recruiters/HR will tell me they're looking for people with "more experience" without being specific even though they're hiring for a junior level position.

In reality it seems more like they want to hire a senior-level developer and pay them at a junior-level rate.

I've actually heard a headhunter say that an open position they're looking for people to fill would like someone who knows and has worked with Polymer for 1-2 years. smh

I really enjoy Nylas. I got in under the 1 year free membership thankfully, but I'm for sure going to pay next year.

I've got so many different emails with different services, having it all under one (nice looking) interface is wonderful.
