I guess this is what you should expect when you are requiring your copyright notice to be disclosed... Live with it or change license.

Or just remove your email address from the copyright notice. A name should be enough.

Don't know why this downvoted. Perhaps the wording used? Because the idea is correct. One way to fix would be, for example, changing the license in any future version to read "If you're using this software inside any component that will be used in a car, you should display the Copyright_automotive.txt contents instead of this one"

If you're really going to complicate displaying the license, you could try to compel the company using libcurl to provide their support contact information immediately before the license text.

I doubt it would actually work.

True, although I can also imagine curl being used in other types of devices. This makes things a bit more complicated I guess.

The phone lying on the ground must be an iPhone 3G for sure!

Pitnicking but Volvo Car Corporation, which we are talking about here, does not have Jean-Claude Van Damme in their commercials. JCVD is the star in the other Volvo company commercials: AB Volvo, which is everything but the cars (trucks, buses, Penta motors, etc...).

TIL that Volvo Cars is owned by a Chinese company and is separate from AB Volvo.

> Volvo Cars was owned by AB Volvo until 1999, when it was acquired by the Ford Motor Company as part of its Premier Automotive Group. Geely Holding Group then acquired Volvo Cars from Ford in 2010.[0]

> Geely (officially Zhejiang Geely Holding Group Co., Ltd) is a Chinese multinational automotive manufacturing company headquartered in Hangzhou, Zhejiang. Its principal products are automobiles, taxis, motorcycles, engines, and transmissions. It sells passenger cars under the Geely and Volvo brands and taxis under the London Taxi brand.[1]

Awesome!

I'm quite sure it is LLVM bitcode. Btw, the creator of LLVM is the same guy who created Swift, i.e. Chris Lattner.
