Holmes can’t get enough of each other! The pair spoke with PEOPLE at Cirque Du Soleil’s Luzia premiere in New York City on Thursday, March 6, offering an update on what life has been like since they moved in together. Attending with Holmes’ 12-year-old daughter and her friends, he and Robach say they’ve gotten into a good “groove” of things as a couple. “We're in family mode,” Robach says. “We just know each other so well for so long,” Holmes adds. “We've been best friends for so long. We spend so much time together. I don't think there was a surprise of any kind.” Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes' Relationship Timeline T.J. Holmes and Amy Robach. Jesse Grant/Getty The one surprise Robach admitted she faced when it came to living with her former GMA3 cohost: his odd nighttime routine. “He has to sleep with the television on at all times. I did not know that,” she reveals. “How would I know that if we were just friends? So, that was the biggest surprise that I have now gotten used to. I've moved over from white noise to television.” “You specifically like Snapped,” Holmes chimes in. “We call it murder in the morning,” he continues. “In the morning, we like true-crime shows, and Snapped is our absolute favorite because it's about women committing murder. I don't know why I like that show.” Robach then quips: “And you sleep so soundly next to me!” “Like a good lullaby at night,” he jokes as she notes, “We're strange. We're not like the others.” Amy Robach Recalls the Moment T.J. Holmes Told Her He Loved Her After Building 'Deep Foundation of Friendship' Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes. Dia Dipasupil/Getty While they haven’t gotten far in the wedding planning process (Holmes confessed they haven’t even set a date yet), Robach tells PEOPLE “it’s a promise” that wedding bells are in their future. “The truth is, my mom even asked me, because we wear our Oura Rings, she thought that maybe we had actually gotten married and not told her,” she shares. “And we’re wearing our rings on the other finger. I was like, ‘Mom, I would definitely tell you if that were the case!’” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. The hosts, who first sparked romance rumors in November 2022, revealed that they moved in together during a September 2024 episode of their podcast. At the time, they said that Robach's 21-year-old daughter Ava and her roommate asked to move in with Robach after their apartment became infested with roaches, so she began staying with Holmes. While they considered it a “trial period,” Holmes joked that he had yet to find “something wrong” with the arrangement weeks later. "I've enjoyed the time that we've had together. It's been a little different but I've liked it," he said. Close Leave a Comment
