Chappell Roan is making her mixed feelings about walking down the aisle someday well known.

The "Good Luck, Babe!" singer, 27, revealed that she isn't sure if she ever wants to get married while appearing on the latest episode of the Call Her Daddy podcast.

When asked if she is still close with her friends in her hometown, she said, "Yeah. I am. They're really awesome. We have such different lives. A lot of them are married with children and have their own houses."

Roan continued to share that she isn’t sure if that lifestyle is a fit for her. "I don't know when that's gonna happen for me," she said. "I don't know when that is realistic, if ever."

Host Alex Cooper then asked, "Do you want that?"

"Like get married?" Roan replied. "Yeah, I don't know. Part of me is like, 'Is it even going to be legal to marry my wife one day?' "

As for having kids, the singer said that’s a no-go. "All of my friends who have kids are in Hell," she said. "I don’t know who is happy and has children at this age."

Elsewhere in the podcast, Roan shared that she is "very in love" with someone she has been dating for about six months. The Grammy winner said that she met her mystery partner "through a friend," and their relationship has longevity.

"I'm dating the same person that I was dating before it blew up," she explained. "I'm not sure how I would date now. I think it would actually be a nightmare. I think I would be, like, so f------ single right now."

The Missouri native released her latest single, "The Giver," on March 14, following the mainstream success of her 2023 debut album The Rise and Fall of a Midwest Princess. The month prior, she took home her first Grammy Award for best new artist

Speaking about her brand-new track – a lesbian country song – on an episode of Amazon Music’s Country Heat Weekly podcast, she looked back on her Midwest roots

"Well, I can't call myself the Midwest princess and not acknowledge country music, straight up," Roan explained. "That is what is around me in the grocery stores. That's what is playing on the bus … I know that my heart really wanted to write a country song, and I'm trying to really articulate that it's not me trying to cross genres and be like, 'Hey, you know, 'Look at me.' "

She continued, "I'm not trying to convince a country crowd that they should listen to my music by baiting them with a country song. That's not what I feel like I'm doing. I just think a lesbian country song is really funny, so I wrote that."
