Ahead of the Thursday, March 27 episode of Kylie Kelce's Not Gonna Lie podcast, the podcast host, 33, shared a clip of Clarkson, 42, who's this week's guest, revealing her school system pet peeve. "I'm not gonna lie, I don't know when the school systems thought it would be a good plan for families and their emotional stability to start having performances at 10 a.m. during the week. This just in — a lot of us work," she began. "And, [they're] surprising you with it, like not giving you an advance, so you can at least tell your work, 'Hey, I'm gonna need this morning off.'" "A lot of jobs wouldn't let you do that anyway, but even if you're like the boss and you would have that control our kids don't understand, and we just look like a-------, when we're not there," she continued, before jokingly adding, "And, then they go, 'Why was this mom there?' And, then you have to say, 'Because that kid's got a better mom.'" On Thursday, March 20, the daytime talk show host celebrated the 1000th episode of The Kelly Clarkson Show by taking a look back at some of the special moments from over the years. Clarkson, whose show premiered in 2019, ended the episode with a special montage of her children, appearing on the show over the years, evoking an emotional moment for her. "That was really sweet," she said, clapping as the video came to an end. "Oh, that was really sweet. And, look I kept it together you guys." "River and Remy, I love you so much. I'm so proud of you both," she continued after wiping away a few tears. "They're just fearless and very bold. They're more like me as an adult, not what I was like as a child, so they talk a lot too. She described raising children as the "most selfless" and "all-encompassing" thing someone will do in their life on the Thursday, Jan. 23 episode of her podcast. "At any point in the day, you do have to always be concerned about the tiny humans you're responsible for, but I think there is a misconception that it wipes out the rest of you and makes you solely mom," she shared. "Whereas what we need to do is tack it on to the end of the resume and keep the rest of the s--- that also defines us as who we are as people because we're still us," she added.
