My Latest Walmart Shopping Haul Includes These Small Home Luxuries — All Under $35

I love to splurge on big ticket items, like a couch or spacious dresser, but when it comes to decorating, I try to keep my budget low. There’s no reason not to when Walmart’s home decor section is packed with affordable finds that look so much more expensive than they are. 

For my latest haul, I snagged five luxe and small but mighty home upgrades, including  elegant taper candles and candle holders, placemats that are as stylish as they are practical, and a toothbrush holder that looks so high-end, my mom asked if it was from West Elm. There’s something so elegant about these matching candlesticks, which instantly dressed up my otherwise casual bar top. The $7 set has a unique ribbed detailing and is crafted from high-quality wax that lasts for a while. Shoppers were just as impressed with the candlesticks, too. One customer said they got more for the money thanks to the 11-inch tall design and added that wax doesn’t drip everywhere when burning them.

I wanted taper candle holders that would look just as sophisticated and upgrade my tablescape even more. This black metal set did the trick. The color provides just the right contrast against my white counters and looks nearly monochromatic with the dark green candles. Better Homes & Gardens Marble Toothbrush Holder

This luxe faux marble toothbrush holder from Better Homes & Gardens looks so much more expensive than its under-$10 price tag. It’s sturdy and weighted like real marble and makes organizing my countertop that much easier. Shoppers called the holder simple and elegant and said it’s so durable, it didn’t even break when they dropped it.
