Mariah Carey and Anderson .Paak Spotted Holding Hands Week After He Accompanied Her to iHeartRadio Music Awards

The "Fantasy" singer and Silk Sonic musician were spotted out on Sunday, March 23 holding hands while leaving the Birds Street Cafe in West Hollywood, Los Angeles. Carey, 55, wore a sparkling black jacket, while .Paak, 39, opted for a plaid jacket with a black hat featuring a golden ivy design.

This outing comes a week after .Paak accompanied Carey to the iHeartRadio Music Awards on Monday, March 17, where she received the icon award — and .Paak helped her onstage.

"Thank you iHeart for this incredible honor," Carey said during her acceptance speech. "As a kid, I used to listen to my favorite artist on the radio and dream of being on the airwave myself. Now, for those of you who may not know what airwaves are, think of it as the non-Wifi version of streaming, OK?" Carey joked.

"Even now I still get excited when I hear one of my songs playing on the radio. It never stops being magical."

Carey also paid tribute to her late mother, who died in August 2024. "On this Saint Patrick's Day, I want to honor my mother Patricia Carey for giving me the gift of music," Carey said.

Muni Long and Tori Kelly performed "We Belong Together" and "Always Be My Baby," respectively, to honor Carey at the awards show.

Carey and .Paak, whose real name is Brandon Paak Anderson, were first spotted together holding hands in December in Aspen. TMZ reported at the time that they were collaborating on new music and just friends.

The following week, the Queen of Christmas and "Leave the Door Open" singer were all smiles after grabbing dinner in Aspen.

Months before visiting Aspen at the same time, Carey and .Paak attended the same Halloween party in October 2024. "WE HAD A THRILLER NIGHT TO SAY THE LEAST!" he captioned the Instagram post about the party, which featured Carey dressed as a cat and him appearing to wear a Daft Punk helmet up front.

"BIG SHOUTS TO EVERYBODY WHO CAME OUT TO @andys_weho FIRST EVER HALLOWEEN PARTY! IT WAS A STONE GROOOVE JACK!! SEE YAH NEXT YEAR!"

Carey is mother to 13-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe, whom she shares with ex Nick Cannon. .Paak, meanwhile, shares sons Soul Rasheed and Shine Tariq with estranged wife Jaylyn Chang, from whom he filed for divorce in January 2024.
