Martha Stewart Reveals Why Matthew McConaughey 'Scared' Her While Filming Super Bowl Commercial

Martha Stewart is unlikely to ever forget working with Matthew McConaughey!

The 83-year-old entrepreneur and podcast host appeared in Uber Eats' Super Bowl ad alongside the Oscar-winning actor last month. In the commercial, McConaughey played a variety of characters and interacted with Stewart during a scene in a board meeting.

During the March 13 episode of her self-titled podcast, Stewart told McConaughey's How to Lose a Guy in 10 Days costar Kate Hudson that he "scared" her on set and explained how.

"He got me scared, actually. He scared me," Stewart admitted, referring to McConaughey as a "method actor."

"He had to play 10 characters, and he got into each character," Stewart continued, noting that it took "about 15 minutes" for him to get into the role and prep himself for filming.

"He's grunting and breathing and jumping up and down," Stewart said. "That scared me."

Hudson, 45, confirmed that her Fool's Gold costar did make "weird sounds"and did "crazy things" while getting ready to film, saying, "You get used to it after the first couple weeks."

“You probably just wanted to tell him to shut the hell up," Stewart said with a laugh in response.

The actress then went on to praise her costar, saying that they had a great time working together.

"McConaughey's like one of the most fun people to work with because energetically we're both very competitive. We have this thing when we're working together that's really fun," she said. "Also, we're both very flirtatious ... He's super charismatic."

Stewart wasn't the only other celebrity cameo in the Uber Eats commercial. The clip also featured appearances from the likes of Charli xcx, Kevin Bacon, Greta Gerwig and Sean Evans.
