Watch Benny Blanco and Selena Gomez Glam a Makeup-Free Drew Barrymore — the Result Is Hilarious!

Selena Gomez is still teaching her fiancé Benny Blanco how to apply a face full of makeup — but he may still need a little practice, according to Drew Barrymore.

On the Thursday, March 27, episode of the Drew Barrymore Show, the couple made an appearance to discuss their new joint album, I Said I Love You First, and also show off products from Gomez's makeup brand Rare Beauty.

"I came out here with no makeup," Barrymore, 50, said, as she revealed that Blanco, 37, and Gomez, 32, were going to do her makeup for the show. "I have everything here. You can do some blush and some contour or highlighter!"

Gomez then joked that they should only stick blush and complexion products because she did "not want to have [Blanco] try mascara" on Barrymore.

"I can’t believe I'm getting to do this, by the way," Barrymore told the couple.

Blanco could be seen struggling to figure out what exactly each product does — and eventually used a dark contour stick on Barrymore's forehead and cheeks.

"Just stay still. Can I touch your face?" the music producer asks, as the crowd laughs. "Are you supposed to do it with your finger? Should I dip it in water?"

At another point, Blanco takes a scoop full of blush with three fingers and smears it on the 50 First Dates actress' cheeks.

"Why is everyone laughing?" the musician jokes. "I think I’m doing a great job! I don’t know what you think is so funny."

After the couple finished their look, they compared Gomez's clean half of makeup to Blanco's more chaotic side.

"I think mine's pretty good," he joked once more, before Barrymore nicely chimed in: "I think I’m going to like yours, too!"

Blanco has been slowly working on his makeup abilities since he and the Rare Beauty founder began dating in June 2023. Earlier this month, Gomez shared a hilarious video to her Instagram and TikTok that featured her fiancé's attempt at doing her makeup.

Blanco begins by asking Gomez, "Where do I start?" before grabbing a Rare Beauty pressed powder as the camera hilariously falls to the ground.

After several hilarious mishaps, including one in which Blanco applied highlighter to her jawline with his fingers, he finishes and declares, "I really think I'm on to something." The clip ends with Blanco applying setting spray on himself and Gomez.

"I think it looks pretty good. Let me see. I don't know. You look so hot," Blanco says as Gomez zooms in on her final makeup look.

After first dating in 2023, the couple announced their engagement on Instagram in December 2024. Following the news, a source told PEOPLE that Gomez was “glowing.”

“They’re so supportive of each other. He wants the best for her and she wants the best for him. They’re perfect together. They really are," the insider said at the time.
