The woman detailed her situation on the “Am I Overreacting” forum on Reddit, a place where users can go to seek advice from their fellow community members. In her post, she explained that her husband was recently admitted to the hospital for health issues, and that he needed to go under general anaesthesia. She went on to explain that “his phone rang while he was out and I missed it,” but when she tried to enter his usual PIN to see who called, she received a message that the PIN was incorrect. “I didn't expect that because [the] pin has been the same for 2 years,” she continued, adding that she knows her husband was using his previous pin as recently has two days earlier. The original poster (OP) — who wrote that there were “issues with his infidelity” before they were married — said she is now worried that “something is happening behind my back,” adding, “It’s just weird ya know?” The PEOPLE Puzzler crossword is here! Especially considering his past. Trust your gut." Someone else added: “He's either doing something shady or he doesn't trust you to not go through his phone while he's incapacitated and I honestly don't think it could be anything in between.” Never miss a story — sign up for PEOPLE's free daily newsletter to stay up-to-date on the best of what PEOPLE has to offer, from celebrity news to compelling human interest stories. “Unfortunately he is 100% hiding something. Going in for a risky heart procedure and one of his top priorities was changing the PIN on his phone? Nope. Interrogate,” agreed another commenter. Unhappy woman checks a phone (stock image). Getty Woman Says Her Partner of 17 Years Is Messaging Another Woman but He Says It’s ‘Just Friendship’ Others noted that — infidelity or not — the OP needs to have a serious talk with her husband once he is stable so that they are “one the same page” about passwords and PIN codes in the event of an emergency. “My mom just died last month and literally the fact that we had her PIN was the MOST IMPORTANT THING EVER,” wrote a commenter. “We would have been F----- without it. Bills, accounts, things as simple as Netflix, everything was tied to being able to get into her phone and email. Like, I do not know how my dad would have survived if he was locked out of her phone. That is an absolute must for married people.” Close Leave a Comment
