Instructions for Contributors: Publication Costs
Each article will incur a publication service charge of $1000 for RNA Society members and $1500 for non-Society members. Articles can include an unlimited number of color figures at no additional charge. Articles will incur a $50-per-page surcharge on all pages beyond 12. Surcharges will also be required if substantial text changes are made or color figures replaced after a paper has been accepted for publication. Authors unable to meet these charges should include a letter of explanation upon acceptance for publication; inability to meet these charges will have no effect on acceptance and publication of submitted papers.
Open Access (OA) fees: For authors who wish to have their work immediately accessible to the entire community (Open Access), RNA offers an OA option, which incurs an OA Article Processing Charge (APC). RNA Society members will be charged $2000; corresponding
authors who are not Society members will be charged $3750.
