Is PS 154 in the Bronx the Next Watergate?

I got to thinking.

I got to thinking after reading some of Chancellor Fariña's Capacity Frameworks on the DOE website. Yep, was really rubbing my chin and pondering.

Under the Framework known as Trust, and so it was said;
Relationships between all members of the school community— including administrators, educators, students, and families—are based on social respect, personal regard, and integrity. Trust creates a school culture where teachers, principals, staff, and all members of the Department of Education value and respect each other...

Another Framework, Effective School Leadership so sayeth;
The principal sets the tone for the school, develops a climate of inclusiveness, and inspires staff and students with a clear vision for student achievement. The goal of a strong school leader is to build coherent instructional and social-emotional support that improves student achievement. School leaders support teacher development by consistently offering professional development opportunities and providing meaningful feedback.
¡Uni momento, por favor! It seems that someone has not gotten the Frameworks memo. I wonder who, **COUGH COUGH**, **WINK WINK.**

What would a lay person say if they have read about the shenanigans that DR Alison Coviello, Ed.D and Principal of PS 154 in the Bronx and BFF AP Jessica Cruz have engaged in concerning me, and possibly others?

When this was shared on August 7, would any Joe Shmoe from Palookaville see the integrity, the trust, the inspiration, and the meaningful feedback? Would Mr Schmoe find the same values in this? Or this?

One would hazard to guess that the answer would be an unequivocal no way!

But let's give DR Alison Coviello, Ed.D and Principal of PS 154 in the Bronx and BFF AP Jessica Cruz the benefit of the doubt for just an itty bitty moment. Perhaps we don't have enough information to make an informed opinion, or enough information to confirm a fact.

But first a little background info.

As reported here on December 3, 2013, the erstwhile and multi-talented Betsy Combier filed a FOIL request in September 2012 for Coviello's any and all emails regarding me. Betsy felt she was quite thorough in using many keywords. But alas, they were one step ahead of her.

In an email in September 2012 from BFF AP Jessica Cruz to DR Alison Coviello, Ed.D and Principal of PS 154, BFF AP Jessica Cruz suggested to DR Alison Coviello, Ed.D and Principal of PS 154 that all future emails regarding me should be use the honorific, "Mr."

Now I am not a member of the legal profession, I do happen to be Jewish, and I can assume that this is not kosher behavior. Can this be obstruction of justice as some have suggested? I can't say, nor is it my place to make either an assumption or pass judgement.

But these questions can be asked...

Why were they so afraid of what Betsy would find out and why would they use a pseudonym for me?

In a school that still consistently has almost 90% of students across all testing grades in both Math and ELA  put so much energy into what some might also call a cover up?

Are there any other teachers from the 2012-2013 school year that were U-rated for the year subject to what I was subject to?

Are there any other teachers from the 2013-2014 school year that were rated ineffective or developing for the year subject to what I was subject to?

Are these kind of behaviors by administrators done in a vacuum or is it systematic throughout the system? Knowing that if we all had a dime for every time we hear a teacher say, "My principal set me up," we would be quite wealthy, if this is just the tip of the iceberg in a systematic problem, how many years do we go back to see if this was done and be sure accused teachers are exonerate?

What did District 7 Superintendent Yolanda Torres know and when did she know it? More importantly, was she the one orchestrating this conspiracy?

Inquiring minds want answers.

Little Lies, Sweet Little Lies You Can't Disguise at PS 154 in the Bronx

This past Monday was the 11th day without violence at PS 154 in the Bronx. But the bigger day was Friday, the 10th. It marked 10 whole days at PS 154 without violence so sayeth DR Alison Coviello; Ed.D and Principal of PS 154 in the Bronx.
If I could turn the page
In time then I'd rearrange just a day or two
Notices went out, the doves were released, white smoke plumed from the chimney. The pixies sprang forth and proclaimed to the world that Monday, January 13, 2014 that all the serfs and citizenry of PS 154 were to wear their favorite T-shirts in celebration of such a grand accomplishment. The Peace Bus was bustling with activity!
But I couldn't find a way
So I'll settle for one day to believe in you
But can that be? Ten whole days without violence?  Guess it depends on who is keeping score and what one's definition of violence is.
Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies
(Tell me lies, tell me, tell me lies)
Oh, no, no you can't disguise
Apparently the definition of violence has be skewered at PS 154 by DR Alison Coviello; Ed.D and Principal.
Although I'm not making plans
I hope that you understand there's a reason why
The Crack Team has learned that as soon as the school year resumed after Christmas break that there were two major acts of violence.
No more broken hearts
We're better off apart let's give it a try
Bibi Netanyahu squared off and tussled big time with Mahmoud Abbas and Jerry Lewis cold-cocked Dean Martin.

So how then can Friday January 10, 2014 been 10 days without violence? To The Crack Team this seems like "cooking the books." Is it violence if no one knows? Is it violence if school safety is not involved? If a ROD is not called? Who does this benefit? DR Alison Coviello; Ed.D and Principal? Were these instances of "violence" imparted into OORS? Is there a coverup?
Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies
(Tell me lies, tell me, tell me lies)
Oh, no, no you can't disguise
In other lying news, The Crack Team has come across another atrocity.
If I could turn the page
In time then I'd rearrange just a day or two
It is with regret, or is it irony, that when DR Alison Coviello; Ed.D and Principal is confronted with evidence that she has taken her tongue and told a lie she retorts in only one way.
But I couldn't find a way
So I'll settle for one day to believe in you
Tell me, tell me, tell me lies
DR Alison Coviello; Ed.D and Principal when caught in a lie, instead of being an adult and owning up to the lie, or even pulling a Ralph Kramden, has only one response.
Tell me lies
Tell me sweet little lies
(Tell me lies, tell me, tell me lies)
Oh, no, no you can't disguise
(You can't disguise, no you can't disguise)
All she can say is that she stands by her version, her perception, her reality of the truth. This coming from a woman who claims she never lies. Guess it isn't a lie if you believe it is the truth.

Perhaps DR Alison Coviello; Ed.D and Principal should the powerful advice of Dr. Sheldon Cooper; Ph.D when it comes to what happens when one lies.

Is The Coverup Worse Than The Crime?

I just heard something fascinating this evening. It occurred today at my school in which learning and children always come first.

If we can just travel back in time January 5 when I wrote that I had filed an allegation of corporal punishment against the dear assistant principal, Numb Nuts. To refresh those who did not click on the link, Numb Nuts grabbed a boy's arm, pulled him, and when the mother came in to complain directly to him, exalted, "I don't see any marks." Today it came to a head.

Before I continue I must stress my sources are reliable, and I got this information from three different people. If I am wrong, or my sources wrong I will immediately retract and issue an apology.

Investigators from OSI(Office of Special Investigations) came into the school today to meet with the boys parents, and principal John Deacon. I do not know if Numb Nuts was there. In this meeting the investigators pressured and cajoled the boys parents to sign a waiver that Numb Nuts did not inflict corporal punishment. That he was in fact breaking up a fight. They told the parents that if they did not sign the waiver that Numb Nuts would be in danger of losing his job.

If Numb Nuts was breaking up a fight, fine. But the brain dead administrator that he is should know, since he is as he claims an expert at discipline, how to break up a fight. Simple. Just get your body between the two students, keep your arms out to block them and you should be fine. Honestly though, you should call school safety.

But here is what rubs me the wrong way. Was there a true investigation? If these charges were unfounded fine. But why not let the process play out? If it was no big deal why did the parents get such a snarky answer from Numb Nuts? But the bigger question is: will teachers in my school now be afforded the same courtesy from OSI when accused of corporal punishment? Hey we can all lose our jobs if we commit corporal punishment. Will OSI investigators go out of their way to protect teachers jobs into having any and all parents sign a waiver?

Is this a cover-up?
