We're lucky enough to have been in touch with some of the people in the thick of the crowd taking pictures of what was going on. One of them, Jenna Pope, is allowing us to publish her pictures of the NYPD fence-in so you can see what it was like for yourself.
As you can see, the crowd's pretty big
At this point, its early and you can't see what the NYPD is organizing
People are climbing up the bridge (see the top left)
Here come the cops
Paddy wagons
And the fence starts..
Protestors started singing as they waited for the police to let them out of the fence
Some people were allowed to leave
But most ended up waiting on the bridge for hours as the police cleared people out
