Last night, Zagat Survey threw a huge party to celebrate the launch of its 2012 New York City Restaurant Guide.
But there was more than one reason to celebrate; the company was also clearly feting the news that it had been purchased by Google last month for a reported $125 million .
The party, at newly opened cevicheria La Mar, was jammed with employees from both companies.
From what we heard, the merger is going smoothly so far, with many Zagat employees receiving official offers from Google and an influx of free food at Zagat's Columbus Circle office.
We stopped by after Business Insider's own shindig at the New York Stock Exchange wound down. The pisco sours were still flowing and the A-list of New York's restaurant scene mingled with the crowd.
We snapped some photos but the ones from Guest of a Guest and Zagat's Buzz blog were far better, so thanks to them for sharing.
The party took place at La Mar, a new ceviche restaurant on Madison Square Park.
