(filming supposed to start at 8:30am, but begun after 9am)
I figured I should put in my two cents considering I was there for the whole day as an extra :) It was a lot of fun, even though it was long and a bit chilly at times.
What I can mention are just random visuals that I still have: Mike as Secret Agent Man; Dave-o as a businessman, looking like he just walked out of an office on Bay Street (just around the corner from where we were shooting), cell phone, briefcase and all; Murray walking over to the Sad Girl all full of hope, and then getting rejected (and the crowd goes "awwwwwwwww") and stomping on those poor flowers *g*; and the guys reacting to the earthquake ;>
Actually, reacting to the earthquake was one of the first shots I was in - the guys didn't have all the fun :) It's really interesting seeing just how much work goes into making a video for a song - hard to believe that the final product will be less than 5mins long considering the shoot (including lunch) was 13 hrs. I can't wait to see how it all comes together in the final edit :)
From MC:
Just got back from downtown where Fruvous shot the Sad Girl video, once
again with Black Walk Productions. There was only one ___location (Front
St, next to Union Station), and the crew/cast/extras shot from 8:30am to
about 9:30pm. Oof. Long day. I don't want to give away too much, but
this, in my opinion (and others') will be great. Better than IWHO
anyway. This has a plot (and actual acting), and it involved a girl in a
bubble, Dave-o in a suit, Fordy as Secret Agent Man and a rejected
Murray stomping on flowers. And an earthquake. Can't wait to see the
final product.
