Five Hundred Dollars reward. --I will give a reward of five hundred dollars for the apprehension and delivery me of my negro woman, Patty, and her son, Robert, a boy five years of age, who escaped from my premises, corner of Franklin and Adams streets, on the 25th ultimo. Patty is copper-colored and about twenty-four years old, tall and good looking, with bad teeth.--Her husband, Stephen, a young, active, black fellow, of medium height, left with her. Stephen belongs to Mr. Richardson, of this city, who informed me he would also give Five Hundred Dollars for his recovery. Runaway.--Five Hundred Dollars reward. --Left my farm, on the 25th instant, my man, Chester. He is fifty-one years old; five feet nine inches high; black skin and heavy beard, slightly grey. The deceased informed witness that Ferneyhough was about drawing a pistol on an individual with whom he had a difficulty, when he attempted to prevent him doing so. In the effort, the weapon accidentally exploded, inflicting the wound he had received. At the conclusion of the evidence the Mayor discharged Ferneyhough. Andrew H. Thompson, charged with cutting and stabbing William Williams on the night of the 25th ultimo was remanded for examination before the Hustings Court. The cutting of Williams was fully proved against the accused; but, in extenuation of his conduct, he professed perfect ignorance of having committed the deed, saying that he was raving mad from the use of liquor on the night of the occurrence and had no recollection of meeting with Williams.
