From Norfolk. [special Dispatch to the Richmond Dispatch.] Norfolk, Jan. 14. --The ships which arrived in Hampton Roads yesterday proved to be the remainder of the Burnside fleet, and are probably preparing to join those which sailed previously. The fleet did not return, but the presence of so many ships gave rise to the report. All since have sailed. A large ship arrived in the Roads this evening, supposed to be the Pensacola. There has been a heavy storm here since morning — snow and sleet and high winds B.
From Camp Alleghany. Lynchburg, Va., Jan. 14 --The Republican, of this city, has intelligence from Camp Alleghany up to the 12th inst. Nothing of interest has transpired since the dispatch sent a few days ago. The reports about the Yankees having taken possession of Huntersville and capturing Confederate stores are greatly exaggerated. But little damage was done. The health of the command has greatly improved, and large accessions are being made to the ranks by convalescent are turning to their camps. Snow, hail, and rain have prevailed for the past eight days, accompanied by bleak and heavy winds, which still continue.
The weather, &c. Petersburg, Jan. 14 --P. M.--It has been snowing and hailing here all day, and is still snowing to- night. The temperature of the weather is about that degree which indicates "the cold snap." The Norfolk mail train was much detained to-day by snow and ice on the track, but reached here to-night at seven o'clock, which was about three hours beyond its ordinary schedule time.
Gen. Wayne Declines a Brigadier-Generalship. Augusta, Jan. 14. --The Savannah Republican, of this morning, says that Gen. Wayne has declined the office of Brigadier-General, tendered to him by the Confederate Government.
Senatorial election. Petersburg, Jan. 14. --Robert R. Collier is elected as State Senator, to fill the vacancy occasioned by the resignation of Dr. John H. Claiborne, over Wm. T. Joynes. Petersburg gave him 250 majority. Prince George not heard from.
Fatal accident. Norfolk, Jan. 14 --A gentleman by the name of Ray, belonging to the 7th Louisiana regiment, fell from a window in the third story of the Atlantic Hotel, last night, and died in a few minutes.
No Tidings of the Burnside expedition. Wilmington, N. C., Jan. 14. --9 o'clock at night.--Nothing has been heard here of the Burnside expedition.
