From Charleston. Charleston, Feb. 12. --Our batteries were opened all around on Morris Island for about two hours this morning. The practice was splendid. The cannonading shook the houses in the city, and the flashing of the guns illuminated the whole harbor. The Yankee flag-staff at Wagner was cut down. Only four shells have been fired on the city since that time. No details have yet reached us from John's Island. It is generally reported that we have driven the enemy off John's Island and that everything is working well. The casualties are also reported small. The latest intelligence from Florida continues to be of an encouraging character.
