pted. Evening session. The veterans re-assembled at 6 P. M., when the Committee on Resolutions reported the following, which was adopted: Resolved, That the Association most heartily endorse the recommendation of the Southern Press Association, that public meetings be held in every town and hamlet of the South, on June 18, 1891, for the purpose of raising funds to build a monument to the memory of our late chieftain, Jefferson Davis.
