Mitchell has signed a proclamation declaring that he will turn every-house in fifty miles of Huntsville, unless bushwhacking is stopped, and the citizens are in such mortal dread of his executing his threat, that the strongest secessionists (hitherto) are now clamoring for submission on the part of the citizens, and many have already taken the , while others are only welting a fitting opportunity to do so. We are glad to hear, however, that Hon. N. N. Davis has at last made his escapes from Huntsville and gone to Corinth to take his place we trust, in the ranks of our brave army there, and thereby disprove all the slanders which have been circulated about him since he has been living, on apparently friendly terms, with the invaders of his native State.
