Death in the Pulpit.
--Rev. Gee. Moore, for 43 years a minister in Charleston, died suddenly on Sunday of last week at a camp meeting, near Anderson C. H. S. C. The opening hymn had been sung, and with more than usually fervid power he had invoked the divine blessing upon the assembled congregation, especially for the widows and orphans of the country.
The last word was uttered, the "amen" impressively died upon his lips, and then the holy man fell forward, and in ten minutes more was numbered among the dead.
He appeared to suffer but little, and did not speak.
Years ago he made the remark that, "among all the places on earth he would prefer to give back his life to God in a Methodist camp meeting." The wish was gratified — he died in his battle armor.
