lem Flying Artillery, held on the 13th day of June, 1862, the death of John W. Howbert, a member of said company, having been announced, the following members of the company, viz: John M. Harlowe, jr., Samuel H. Nowlin, Samuel Parrish, and Lieut. C. B. Griffin, were appointed a committee to draft resolutions in reference thereto, who, at a subsequent meeting of the company, submitted the following preamble and resolutions; which were unanimously adopted: Whereas, an all-wise God, in His insr that change which must surely, sooner or later come to us all. Resolved, 3d, That we extend our heartfelt condolence and earnest sympathies to the relatives and friends of the deceased. Resolved, 4th, That a copy of these resolutions be forwarded to the parents of our deceased comrade, and also to the editors of the Richmond Dispatch, with a request to publish the name in their paper.
