A tornado.
Branchville, S. C., May 6. --There was a violent tornado this afternoon, which crossed the Columbia branch of the South Carolina Railroad, near Stillon's station.
Large trees were twisted and blown down and uprooted.
The telegraph wires were broken, and the poles, in many cases, blown down.
Mrs. O'Cain's house, and several others, were overthrown, and much damage done to property on all the plantations in that vicinity.
