, one Dr. Guillotin, described as a physician, published a couple of pamphlets, of a character so inflammatory that he was prosecuted for them by the Parliament of Paris. The pamphlets and the persecution made him so popular that, although previously a person of no consideration, when the election came on, he was chosen one of theocate of the proposition.
