Correspondence of the Richmond Dispatch.affairs in Chesterfield — a good Chance for investment — large number of Volunteers,&c. Chester, Chesterfield Co., May 14, 1861. The magistrates of the county met at the Court-House on yesterday, and proceeded to lay the county levy, which old not exceed that of the last year. The poor levy also has been fixed at the same rate that it was during the past year. A committee of one Justice from each magisterial district was appointed to report upowhole community; and we further hope that our brave soldiers will not rush into dissipation and squander their means, but that they will be frugal, temperate, and saving, and thus greatly aid the community in lightening the public burdens Chesterfield will equip in all eight full companies, besides the men she has furnished to the different companies of Richmond and Petersburg.
