The Northwestern expedition. From the last information received we are led to believe that our forces are returning from their expedition in the Northwest. The Staunton Spectator mentions, as one of the results of the expedition, that 1,200 horses, 500 head of cattle, and a considerable number of sheep, have been sent back, and are now near Mount Solon, in Augusta county. A portion of the expedition were at last accounts in Pocahontas county, and a portion were in pursuit of some retreating Yankees. About 700 prisoners were captured by our troops while on this expedition.
