Mayor's Court Tuesday, April 21.
--The case of John Murphy, charged with shooting Martin Callahan in the mouth with a bullet from a Colt's revolver, was called and continued to the 1st of May on account of the absence of Callahan, who had been sent to a hospital for medical treatment.
The shooting as previously stated took place near the Old Market-House on Monday evening.
James Russell was charged with getting drunk and breaking a window glass in the house of John Governess.
Russell in reply to a question of the Mayor, said he was a cripple and an army cook; that he had just arrived in Richmond when the occurrence took place, and that if permitted he would get out of the city by the first train.
The Mayor said he should be permitted to make the attempt.
The case of Patrick Healey, for allowing a dead horse to remain in one of the public streets, and become a nuisance, was called and continued, Healy not responding when his name was called.
