Death of a Brigadier-General.
Brigadier-General Daniel S.Donelson, commanding the Department of East Tennessee, died near Knoxville on Friday.
He was a nephew of Gen. Andrew Jackson, was born near the Hermitage, and his education was acquired partially under the supervision of the Old Hero.
He entered the service in 1864, and was conspicuous for his bravery at Perryville and Murfreesboro'.

Unfortunate affair in Warrenton.
--An unfortunate difficulty occurred in the town of Warrenton on Wednesday last, between Col. J. E. Seruggs and Mr. A. J. Palli, resulting in the death of the latter, after lingering for about twenty-four hours. We have no particulars, save that it was entirely a case of self- defence.
On the evidence Col. S. was at once admitted in bail.
