A.behave like a Scythian, i.e.,
1. drink immoderately, Hieronym.Rhod. ap. Ath.11.499f; cf. ἐπισκυθίζω.
2. from the Scythian practice of scalping slain enemies, shave the head, “ἐσκυθισμένος ξυρῷ” E.El.241; so [χαίτην] ἐσκύθιξε φασγάνῳ cut it off in mourning, Epigr.Gr.790.8 (Achaea): cf. ἀποσκυθίζω.
