Arapahoe Indians,

One of the five tribes constituting the Blackfeet confederacy, residing near the headwaters of the Arkansas and Platte rivers. They were great hunters, and fifty years age numbered 10,000 souls. With the disappearance of the buffalo they have rapidly decreased. In 1900 one branch, numbering 1.011, was located in Oklahoma, and a second, numbering 829, in Wyoming.
