Before the start of the tournament, Club Asturias (founded on Feb. 7, 1918) request for
enter to the league.
Originally the league accepted the request, two test matches were scheduled as part of the
requirements.

However, surprisingly, Asturias' request was rejected, instead, Espa�a de Veracruz (filial
of Club Espa�a) was included; actually, Espa�a de Veracruz was really the team "B" of
Club Espa�a, because in the papers of the time, referred to the team as "Espa�ita".
Club Asturias decided to form its own league called "Uni�n Nacional de Aficionados de
Association Foot-ball", inviting other teams from Mexico City as Catalu�a, San Cosme,
Blanco y Negro, ABC and �guila (Pachuca).
