Opening: Good morning everyone!

Once again, welcome to the

Christianity Lines First, let me introduce myself. My name is Issaiah
and I will also be your tour guide for today and it’s my pleasure to
be of service to all of you.
So as a background for our itinerary, we’ll start off from the basics of
Christian beliefs. Did you know that Christians believe that there is only
one God? They recognize Jesus as the son of God and believe God
functions as a Trinity - Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

1. Now, let’s move on to our first destination, the baptism. Let me tell
you some details about baptism. The Christians believe in
one baptism into the Christian church, whether this be as an infant or as
an adult, as an outward sign of an inward commitment to the teachings
of Jesus. It also symbolizes a sharing in the death and resurrection of
Jesus Christ.

2. We are now coming up to the Eucharist or Communion. As you can

see, the wine represented the blood of Jesus and the bread represented
as His body. Jesus asked his disciples to consume them and continue to
do so in memory of him. It is recognized as a sign of unity and
thanksgiving amongst Christians.

3. Keep your eyes open for our next destination, the saints. One of the
major feasts here in the Philippines shows the devotion to child Jesus.
Sinulog Festival, refers to a ritual dance inspired by and performed
before the Santo Niño. Saint refer to a Christian who has lived a
particularly good and holy life on earth, and with whom miracles are
claimed to have been associated after their death.
4. As we round this corner up ahead, you will see a celebration of
Christmas. Christians celebrate Christmas Day as the anniversary of the
birth of Jesus of Nazareth, a spiritual leader whose teachings form the
basis of their religion. Popular customs include exchanging gifts,
decorating Christmas trees, attending church, sharing meals with family
and friends.

5. For our last destination, in front of you is a Penance or penitensya, a

Filipino practice of self-discipline that is often considered a spiritual act.
Men and women seeking forgiveness would use straps to hit themselves
at the back. This are done during the Holy Week (or Mahal na Araw). It
features the story of Jesus Christ's passion, death, and resurrection.
People reflect on the agony and sacrifice of the Son of God to deliver the
world from sin.

Ending: So this will be the end of our tour. Thank you my dear
tourists. I hope that you all enjoyed your tour in the beliefs and
customs of Christianity. I hope that this experience will be
memorable to all of you and I’m looking forward to your next visit
here. Once again thank you very much and have a safe trip!
