I realize that even the most profitable money-making opportunities won't work
unless you have the right mindset to succeed. Most people sabotage themselves
because they are destroying their own chance of success by not staying positive
about things.

I personally went through the process of trial and error so you don't have to. You
will learn how to bypass your resistance to success and to create a winning mindset.
You can learn from my experiences, which will give you the most powerful resources
of self-help tools to accelerate you to a new, more prosperous self.

A good attitude can't just work alone...a lot of programs say, “Just have a great
attitude and you'll succeed automatically.” It's funny how it seems to be that a lot
of people set goals, and then just seem to fall short. They seem to get involved in
certain opportunities that just aren't the right ones. We consider that the wrong
vehicle. You also need to have other things that come along with the vehicle in
order to reach your destination. In this case, your destination will be financial
success.

Basically, you will need a few things. One is a “Goal Map.” You need to have the
directions to get from point “A” to point “B”. Initially, people move forward toward
their goals but for some reason they seem to get detoured. It's like going down a
highway that is straight, all you need to do is simply drive and all of a sudden you
find yourself driving off an exit, sometimes going 20 miles inland, out of the way.

Much of the problem is often an automatic self-sabotaging mechanism. Part of the

procrastination process, which inevitably diverts you from ever reaching your goals
or destination. Imagine shooting an arrow up in the air, never knowing where it will

land. Many people live their lives that way, just going wherever the wind will take
them. Now let's change the thought for a minute. Imagine shooting the arrow at a
visible target. Where will the arrow land? It will probably land very close to the
target, you may not hit the bull's eye but you'll come close and eventually, if you
keep practicing, you'll hit one. It's the same thing in business or relationships or
attaining any other goals that you want to achieve.

So basically always keep focused and get back on the highway and stay on course,
don't detour. If you have a plan or goal, don't allow people to tell you that it won't
work. Drive straight in like an arrow and don't get detoured. Don't let people,
places or things push you toward various exits along the way. Just keep aiming for
that bull's eye!

Positive Attitude
A positive attitude is very important to achieving anything. How can we take any
task and get anywhere when we're negative?

When we tell ourselves, “It will never work,” guess what? It probably won't. By
saying this, you have implanted it into your brain's subconscious and you will find all
the negative reasons a new venture won't work. In addition, you will take into
consideration what friends and associates say, like “That won't work, you're wasting
your time, you won't succeed with this method, etc.”

Keys To True Success

Positive Attitude – Have trust in yourself and don't focus on previous
failures.
Enthusiasm and Passion – don't just have it, take action on it as well!
Don't listen to dream stealers – even if they are your friends or associates.
Maybe they mean well for you, but it is not your obligation to act on their
negative attitudes.
Set Goals – Decide whether you want to work part-time or full-time.
Research has shown that successful people set definite goals. Work hard to
achieve your goals and write them down in a place you can see them
everyday.
Get Organized
Plan your work time and manage your time well – you don't want to
overwork yourself. “Manage your time properly or it will manage YOU.”
Take advantage of your advantages – Every single person in the world has
a talent, skill, idea, drive, or gift that is unique to them.
Saturate your mind with winning statements – “I am confident. I am
successful. I am committed. I am prepared.”

William Saroyan once said, “I am not the kind of guy to knock at a door and then
when the door is opened, not go in.”

This book contains a wealth of information and one may get overwhelmed. You may

take one chapter or idea and delve in it. Do this for only six days of the week. You
must also rest and not overwork yourself. If you already know what kind of work
you want to do, such as Ebay, affiliate programs, Adsense, HYIP's, or any of the
other money-making opportunities discussed in the book, then get right to it.

The reason this book is called Money Grows on Trees is because I strongly believe
that one should strive for success via several streams of income. Firstly, it means
more income for you. Secondly, it gives you the flexibility to focus on a different
opportunity when one is not going so well.

The Internet has grown so popular that millions of people rely on it for their daily
life, whether for business, shopping, health, or information. I am not saying that
the Internet is the tree of life but I am saying that it poses great opportunities for
those seeking to work from home and make an incredible income. But there are
many branches on this “tree” called Internet and they are all filled with money that
is available for anyone who is willing to strive and climb to get it. And just like any
other tree, there is always enough fruit for everyone because the tree is always
growing.

The key advice I can give you is to be persistent and never give up! Alexander Pope
once said, “Strength of mind is exercise, not rest.” Be diligent and work hard. I am
assured that if you put in the effort and work needed for the first few weeks, you
will see a steady flow of income that will work on autopilot.

FOREWORD: Ways to Make Money Online

There are several ways of making a steady and successful income on the
Internet. Some may be more time-consuming than others, some may be more
risky than others, and some may be more fun than others. Nevertheless, you must
take advantage of all the methods and build financial success through various
streams of income. It is EXTREMELY important to utilize the most streams of
income as possible and I will explain why.

Money can be made on the Internet via online auctions such as Ebay, your
own product or commercial website, affiliate programs, blogging, taking surveys,
and even playing video games. Later in the book we will discuss ways of making
money without a computer as well.

Working with several streams of income allows you to implement your goals
into more than one channel and, hence, increasing your customer potential and
making for yourself more money. For example, I can sell an informational product
such as an Ebook on my own website and on Ebay, while also writing a blog about it
and advertising it in a couple of forums, and assigning to it an affiliate program so
that other people can sell it for me as well for commission.

You can imagine how many customers you can get if you market your product
correctly. We will discuss each of these steps and methods one-by-one throughout
the book.

It is my strong belief that any person who is building a business online should
find a component of their business strategy to be conducted via Ebay. Ebay is a
market that simply cannot be overlooked. The exposure for one's products is the
greatest on Ebay with a massive array of possible visitors with easy access to your
products. I will also show you how you can even use Ebay to increase visitors to
your own website or blog. By looking at the following stats, one must be crazy to
work online and not promote his products on Ebay with millions of prospects out
there looking to buy on Ebay.

Every minute of every day more than 150 items are listed for sale and more
than 500 bids are placed.
There are currently more than 80 million Ebay users who spend more than $60
million every day.
More than 2 million items are posted every day with millions of users searching
the site to find those items.
Ebay conducts more than 12 million auctions at any given time.

One you see these numbers you realize the potential of making money on Ebay. No
other marketplace can compare with Ebay in terms of size and scope of products
offered.

Additionally, eBay has developed so as to allow sellers to list products in a

Ebay Basics

Getting Started
First of all you will need to become somewhat familiar with the Ebay format and
know the functions of listing items on the auction site. We will focus on how to
make money on Ebay and not on things such as registration or how to list a
product. We are all grown adults and can spend 10 minutes on playing around with
the different features on Ebay in order to get a bit accustomed to the site.

Before you even start contemplating about making a real income on Ebay, you must
first decide on several factors. What do you want to sell? Who are your customers?
Will you sell only to a niche market? What age group are your customers? Where
will you get products from? Are your items hot and popular items?
These are the things you must begin thinking about now as your Marketing
Strategy.

What to Sell
With over 1000 categories, you can sell virtually anything on eBay. But choosing
what to sell can often be overwhelming. My advice is to look first to your own
hobbies and interests, because the most successful sales pitch ALWAYS COMES
FROM THE HEART. It sounds corny, but it is TRUE. If you don't believe in what
you're selling, and you aren't willing to stand behind your product, your online
business will certainly fail. You should never sell a product that you aren't
enthusiastic about, or else you should be able to fake your enthusiasm better than
a Hollywood actor. Either way, you must pass on the positive energy about your
product to the consumer. This applies not only on eBay but throughout "marketing

land" in general, both online and offline.
It is true that some things sell better than others. Information and software are
particularly hot sellers because almost all computer users are pre-qualified for
those products. In other words, the fact that they are using a computer means they
need software, and the fact that they are using the Information Superhighway
means they are already looking for information! Selling to a pre-qualified market
can be very profitable, but you must be enthusiastic about what you're selling or it
will surely fail. Once again, YOU SHOULD ONLY SELL A PRODUCT THAT YOU ARE
EXCITED ABOUT. That is the absolute best advice I can give you with regards to
online marketing in general!

If this step is a difficult one for you, then at the end of this Ebay section we will
have a list of places where you can get the best products and at the best prices.

Finding your Niche Market

Once you have a product in mind, you need to pinpoint your niche market. This is
very easy to do. Brainstorm a list of interests, hobbies, topics, subjects, and ideas
that are similar or related to your product. For example, if you sell knives (as I do)
then you would consider the following interests/hobbies relevant to your product:
camping, hiking, hunting, fishing, boating, knife collecting, diving, martial arts,
sporting goods, kitchenware, cutlery, tools, collectible hand tools, knife making,
etc. The eBay users who visit such categories on the auction site make up your
niche market!

Once you know where your customers go, you need to KNOW YOUR CUSTOMERS.
Brainstorm a list of their interests, hobbies, likes and dislikes, age range, income
potential, likely vocation, marital status, etc. Devise a complete dossier on your
potential customers in that niche market. The reason for this will become clear later
as you learn to write an effective sales pitch. The sales pitch aims at attracting a
certain profile of eBay user and is the most profitable tool you can use to increase
the percentage sales of your products.

Choosing a Category or Categories

Ok, you have put a lot of thought into your product and completed the introspective
phase of getting started. You're excited about your merchandise and you're ready
to start selling it on eBay auctions. The next step is to find your niche market; as
applies to online auctions, this refers to the category you will list your item(s) in.
Considering eBay has over 1000 categories to choose from, this should be a
relatively easy process. But there is one important trick you strategy to know.

Before listing your item in any category, follow these simple steps: First, browse
through ALL eBay categories and write down which ones you feel are relevant to
your product. You should be able to find at least 5-10 possible choices. Next, write
down the number of auctions currently online in each of those categories (the

number of auctions online will appear next to the category name). An average in
any category is about 1000, so if there are more than 1000 you may conclude that
the category is active and if there are less than 1000 you may consider it inactive. I
consider categories with over 3000 auctions to be popular and those with over
10000 are most popular. Using this ranking system, rate the categories that you
have chosen for your product. I recommend listing in active or above categories
only because they get the most traffic - if you put your product in an inactive
section of eBay, you may get little or no bids, even if you feature it. Avoid
categories with less than 1000 auctions online!

Keeping Track of Your Auctions

Once you have more than 5-10 auction listings online, you will need to develop an
effective system for keeping track of them all. Simply listing the items and sending
a confirmation email to the winners is not enough. For example, if a customer
purchases one of your products and asks whether you received payment yet or not,
you need to track down the item number and see if you have received his check.
Other customers may want to know when the item was shipped or have other
questions pertaining to auctions they won in the past.

The easiest way to keep track of your auctions is to use software to track them. If
you list less than 5-10 auctions at a time, you can probably keep track of them with
the old pen-and-paper method, or with a simple spreadsheet. If you choose this
method, follow these steps for keeping track of the auctions: use a separate sheet
of paper for each auction you list. Write down the item number, URL, listing date,
listing price, and category, along with any other comments or pertinent
information. When the auction ends, write down the ending date, the sell price (if
any) and the buyer's contact information. Index the auctions by auction number for
quick reference in a file. Again, this method works ok for fewer than 10 auctions
online each week. If you have more than that, you must use a database system of
some kind. Selling the merchandise is only half the battle - you MUST keep track of
your sales or you will quickly find yourself lost and confused. Particularly on April
15th!

A Picture is Worth a Thousand Words

An essential aspect of every eBay auction in which a physical product is sold
(excluding services, information, or software) is an image file! Hardly anyone is
willing to buy what they can't see. If your competitor shows off an impressive
picture of his product and you don't, then you lose business. It's just that simple.
To attach a picture to your eBay auctions is not that difficult and is the subject of a
completely different manual, but the basics you will need are a digital camera and a
way to host your picture such as an Internet website or a special image hosting
company. eBay has extensive help files on how to attach a picture to your auction.

The picture should be used to highlight the best aspects of your product - make
sure that the lighting and the setup is correct and that you take the time to take a
top-quality, gripping picture. When browsing through auctions, often the image is
the first thing to attract potential customers, so the more effort you put into taking
an outstanding digital picture the more profitable your business will be. In fact, if
you are selling a physical product, I cannot in good conscience recommend listing it
on eBay until you have a quality picture to attach to your auction. The picture sells
- remember that!

Your Strategy
The key to making enormous profits on eBay is to develop a detailed and efficient
strategy long before you list your first item. First you need to know what type of
product you want to sell, where to find your niche market on eBay, and develop a
profile of your average customer. In addition, you should already have determined
which categories are appropriate for your product. Now you are ready to set your
strategy for the business. Read this part of the manual very, very carefully.

I'm going to present you with a strategy that you can apply to virtually any product
you wish to sell on eBay. I will generalize the outline so you can fill in the specifics
related to your own particular niche market and merchandise.

There are two types of sellers on eBay which I will call High Volume Listers and Low
Volume Listers. High Volume Listers are those who list more keep more than 10
auctions online at a time. Low Volume Listers keep fewer than 10 auctions online at
a time.

The profit margin of the product you sell determines which category you will fit
into. For example, if you sell real estate and make $10,000 per sale, you may only
need to list a few properties each week on eBay to make a real killing with your
Internet business. The same applies for the sale of expensive jewelry, automobiles,
and other items with a large profit margin. However, if you sell magazines or other
inexpensive items you may only make $5-10 per sale. In this case, you would need
to list hundreds of items at a time to make large profits, and thus you would
become a High Volume Listing. I know what you're thinking - why would anyone go
through the effort of listing so many items when it seems so easy to list a few large
items and make a fortune? The answer cuts to the heart of Internet sales itself:
ONLINE BUYERS ARE MOST WILLING TO SPEND UNDER $50.00 FOR A PRODUCT.
This makes sense - would you pay thousands for something you have never seen?
Another reason that High Volume Listers are more common and often make more
money on eBay is that it is very easy to buy inexpensive items at wholesale prices,

but very difficult to buy real estate or automobiles at wholesale prices.

Armed with this information, you must consider the product you're selling and
make an intelligent, informed decision on whether to become a High Volume or a
Low Volume Seller. If you have plenty of free time to devote to your new business,
I recommend you opt for the High Volume option. But if you are an eBay seller at
nights and on weekends, you may wish to start off with the Low Volume option
until your business really takes off. Again, only you know best which option to
choose based on the amount of time you have available and the profit margin of
your merchandise.

Once you determine what type of seller you will be, you are half-way to developing
a sales strategy on eBay. The next step is to integrate everything you have learned
so far in this manual and project your selling strategy into the future. For example,
let's assume you have decided to sell jewelry on eBay. Here is a test case for
consideration: You have identified your niche market and found the associated
categories. You know that your buyers will probably spend $50.00-100.00 per
purchase and you realize that the average profit of your auctions will be about
$60.00. You have plenty of time and your profit margin is low, so you decide to
become a High Volume Seller on eBay and choose to list 100-200 auctions per
week. You estimate that 70% of your auction will end with winning bids, which is
the eBay average. Based on this prediction, you calculate your weekly income at
$6300. Using database software, you plan to keep track of your auctions and use
the built-in market analysis feature to discontinue unpopular items and relist the
popular ones. You have a wholesale account set up with your jewelry supplier and
have already purchased enough inventory to cover your first week of eBay sales.
You plan to relist every auction as soon as it ends and place one weekly order to fill
your inventory along with one weekly outgoing mailing to your buyers. Your basic
sales strategy is set and you are ready to begin listing your auctions!

In the example above, you will notice that the seller thought of EVERYTHING before
listing a single item, making sure that he/she was prepared for the task ahead and
establishing a solid game plan. Before beginning, you should project your sales
strategy into the future and run through all possible problems, resolving them in
your mind. If it helps, write out a paragraph like the one above and analyze it for
errors of logic. KNOW YOUR SALES STRATEGY BEFORE YOU BEGIN.

I strongly recommend listing all of your auctions as regular auctions before you
begin. Do not feature them or use the Dutch Auction option at this time. Test out
your sales strategy and evaluate the popularity of your product in its niche market
for several weeks before continuing. The rest of this manual contains advanced tips
designed for sellers who have mastered the concepts already set forth and who
have performed a basic market analysis of their products based on the results of
several weeks of auctions.

Knowing Your Competition
Obviously, one must know how and what his competition is doing in order to
succedd in one's own business. For Ebay sellers there is only one solution:
Terapeak. Terapeak is the leading research tool for Ebay. It will tell you what the
hottest items on Ebay are, how much you should price your items, what the
competition prices it at, what the best times are to list your specific item, and
more. This tool is $24.95 per month and is a no-brainer for success on Ebay.

Let me give you an example of how Terapeak helped me. In my Ebay Store which
is run by my wife and her friend, we were selling a Motorola W375 for about $93
and were making about $15 on each phone. We sold about 400 of these phones in
one month on and off Ebay (we found great cell phone suppliers). After doing
some research on the competition using Terapeak, we found that a competitor was
selling triple the amount of the Motorola W375 than we were and was selling the
phone for $104 while we were selling it for $93.

I was baffled and confused. Why would anyone pay more to him?! The research

“phones in the price range of $100 to $200. Therfore, my W375 phone did not
show up in those searches because we were selling it for less than $100. Now we
raised the price to $104 and we are selling a lot more. We would have lost out on a
lot of money if not for that piece of research. Now we are making about $23 profit
on each phone after Ebay and Paypal fees.

Advanced Selling on eBay

To Feature or not to Feature
Featured auctions get more bids. They also cost more - a lot more. Before deciding
whether or not to feature your item, you need to evaluate its popularity. You should
perform a basic market analysis either on your own or using database software.

There are two types of featured auctions - those which are featured in category
cost $14.95 and show up at the top of the item's category main page. This ensures
that anyone who visits that category will probably see your auction, as the normal
browser scrolls down a few screens and then leaves. I recommend featuring your
item in its category if it has an average sales percentage of 50% or greater. In
other words, after running regular auctions for a few weeks, you should choose the

"featured in category" option if more than half of the auctions for that item have
ended in a sale. I also HIGHLY SUGGEST choosing the boldface title option
whenever you feature one of your items, as it draws more attention to your
product.

A regular featured auction costs $99.99 and generates even more bids than a
featured in category. Of course, it also costs a lot more, and as such you should
only choose this option if you your item(s) has a sales percentage of 60% or
greater. By featuring many popular auctions, you will make enormous profits on
eBay. But the key to success is running those tiresome regular auctions for weeks
to figure out which items to feature and which items to discontinue. Trial and error
works!

NOTE: eBay will not let you feature auctions selling information, services, or adult
material due to complaints from users. If you sell that type of product, you should
run a featured in category auction only.

Trial & Error - It Works

As I have indicated, trial and error is one major tool for success. It works, pure and
simple. Don't be afraid to try out new ideas or to feature dozens of your most
popular products. Find out what sells and what doesn't - continually order new
products from your supplier that you feel will become big hits on eBay. Do not get
into a rut selling the same thing over and over again; you will saturate the market
after a few months. The most important use for trial and error on eBay is to use the
regular auctions as a testing ground for your new merchandise to determine its
sales percentage and corresponding marketability, as well as its profit margin. You
can then make an educated decision as to whether or not to feature the auction or
choose the dutch option, or both. Impulse selling is much like impulse buying - you
regret it soon afterwards. Don't use the fancy options on eBay until you first use
trial and error on all of your products.

Writing Your Sales Pitch

Successful sellers on eBay know how to write an item description (sales pitch) that
instantly perks the browser's interest and then draws them in after a few
sentences. The first part of your eBay sales pitch is the title, which should be
catchy and immediately focus a potential customer on your auction. If you get
them to click on your auction, then you have won half the battle. I recommend
bold-face titles at all times using catch words such as "HOT ITEM", "WOW!",
"RARE", "UNIQUE", "SUPER DEAL", "UNBELIEVABLE!", "BEST VALUE", etc. I
also suggest using all caps so that your title stands out above the rest. DO NOT use
fancy symbols or other "cheesy" ways to attract attention to your auction. Such
tactics immediately turn off most potential customers and make your business look

unprofessional and even ridiculous.

A big part of your sales pitch is the picture that you attach to your auction, but you
must also provide an enthusiastic and energizing description that makes your
potential buyer feel like he NEEDS your product. Before you start writing the sales
pitch, refer to the profile of potential customers in your niche market that you
should already have compiled. What are their likes and dislikes? What are they
looking for? How old are they and what jobs do they generally hold? What are their
hobbies and interests? What makes them tick? A successful sales pitch appeals to
the base interests and self-interest of the customer. When writing a sales pitch,
attention to psychology counts more than attention to writing style. You need to
make your item description APPEAL TO THE TYPE OF CUSTOMER WHO WILL BE
VIEWING YOUR AUCTION. I recommend using some basic HTML coding to enhance
the description, but I do NOT suggest giant letters and distracting objects such as
blinking, animations, or more "cheesy" items in that regard.

Your potential buyer wants to know what your product will do for him, and does not
need a lot of useless distraction. Again, your item description must appeal to the
profile of the buyer and promote a feeling of professionalism and trust in your
company.

Feedback - It Matters
I've heard some eBay users remark that feedback isn't all that important, that no
one reads that stuff in the first place. Quite the contrary. While newbies and eBay
novices will often overlook the feedback for lack of understanding and inexperience,
almost ALL veteran buyers will view your feedback before buying your product. If
they see comments such as "product not delivered", "this guy is a fraud", "terrible
seller, would not trade with again" then they will never purchase your merchandise.
You need to have an outstanding feedback rating brimming with positive comments
to really make huge profits on eBay.
Also, you need a feedback rating of 10 or more to list dutch auctions or to feature
an auction. The way to ensure quality feedback is simply to deliver a quality
product quickly, efficiently, and honestly. If you are looking for a "quick fix" or a
"hit and run" scheme then eBay is not the place for you. You can build a hugely
profitable and legitimate online business using Internet auctions without defrauding
anyone!

There will always be a few rogue customers who claim they never received their
product or you were too slow to deliver it, or else were unhappy with what they
received. We all know that the customer is NOT always right. My recommendation
for dealing with such problem buyers is simply to offer a 30-day no-questions-
asked refund on any physical product that you are selling (services, information,
and software excluded for obvious reasons). If they persist in causing problems,
just ignore them. One or two negative feedbacks won't destroy you - 10 or 20 will.

Customer Service Recommendations
Always answer a customer's email. Whether the customer is praising your product
or complaining, whether he is offering his input or asking a question, he or she
deserves an answer. Particularly on eBay, where feedback really counts! If you fail
to answer emails, you may receive such comments as "unresponsive seller" or
"ignored my repeated inquiries" in your feedback file. You will also earn yourself a
poor reputation and lose respect in the online trading community. My
recommendation: Keep your answers short, courteous, and to the point. Provide all
relevant information and be friendly, but don't get bogged down in long email
conversations back and forth, and don't let the customer lead you on an irrelevant
tangent. Your time is money. Also, you should create a classy signature file that
inspires confidence in you as a seller and looks professional. Finally, I strongly
recommend creating a folder in your email program entitled "pre-written messages"
in which you have template messages already created to answer common
questions such as: 1) When has my item been shipped? 2) When did you receive
payment? 3) How long does shipping take? Etc, etc. Customize your pre-written
messages to fit your particular product, as you will notice very similar questions
and comments from customers as time passes. It is MUCH EASIER to send out a
pre-written form email than write a specific answer to each inquiry. However, make
sure that it doesn't sound like you are using a form email and make sure to add a
personal touch when possible. When considering email customer service, you must
balance time, efficiency, and courteousness to maximize your working potential.

on the side bar on the Ebay Home Page. (See the picture below). Notice the great
titles and keywords that those auctions have. No wonder they have thousands of
people watching their auction. We will discuss soon how to get your item featured
on the Ebay Pulse and receive hundreds or even thousands of visitors to your Ebay
listings.

EFFECTIVE AUCTION TITLES

One of the most important aspects about your auction listing is the title. On eBay,
the title is limited to 55 spaces. The words you employ in that limited space must be
carefully crafted to appear in bidders’ search results and get the click once found.

An effective auction title:

● Uses keywords that potential bidders use to search listings.
● Solves a problem.
● Make a reader curious to know more
● Is simple and easy to read and understand.

On eBay, the default search method only scans auction titles. These queries return
results based on matches to the search term found only in the titles. Don’t waste
precious space with useless descriptions like “Awesome”, “L@@K”, or “Wow!”.

moment and brainstorm the search terms she might use to find a product like
yours. Include these words or phrases in your auction title. Include your item’s
brand name, artist, or designer. State exactly what your item is, even if your title

USING MULTIPLE USER ID'S
We recommend that if you are targeting several niche markets, then you should
register for different User IDs. This way you can build an image in the eyes of your
customer as an expert in that niche department. For example, if I am selling car
accessories and women's shoes in the same store, then my customers won't see me
as an expert in either department. My wife and I currently have 5 Ebay Id's: for
clothing and apparel, jewelry, consumer electronics, home furniture, and of course
informational products.

Even if you will be selling to one niche market, you should still have at least 2 Ebay
IDs. The reason for this is that customers like buying from several Ebay IDs in
order to build their feedback or just because they like to; they might not be so
willing to buy a similar product from the same store. With multiple IDs the
customer might buy from me several items without knowing that it's from the same
person.

Now remember, you will need to have good feedback scores for all you IDs, but with
the tactic we showed you before of the 1 penny auctions, that should not be a
problem.

GETTING YOUR LISTING ON EBAY PULSE

The Ebay listings with the most watchers are listed on the Ebay Pulse. That in turn
means that they will get thousands of visitors by the end of the auction. The trick is
to get people to “WATCH” your listing. Every listing has a link called “Watch this
Item”. The more people click on that link the closer you are to the Ebay Pulse.

One way of getting on the Pulse is by emailing another Ebayer that you will watch
their item if they watch yours. This is simple but may be time consuming.
However, it is very worth it. You can also try to get listed on sites such as
www.WooHooMysteryMan.com , www.Weirdauctions.com, and
www.WhoWouldBuyThat.com. These are high ranking sites that can get you a
lot of popularity.

The best way of getting watchers for your listing is by posting up very flashy images
on your listing and having a “CLICK HERE” button on it with the URL of your “Watch
this Item Link” copied on it. For example, I can have a link on a picture or flashy
button which says “CLICK HERE TO SEE THE CRAZIEST VIDEO” and really all it is is
a link to the “watch this item” URL and not a video. There are rumors that this is
against Ebay policies to trick someone into watching your listing. However, the link
may still say something like “CLICK HERE TO WATCH” which is 100% okay to do.
Don't forget, you can also Email your friends to watch your item listings and you can
also advertise on the Ebay Discussion Boards and Forums.

“FEATURED” ITEM LISTINGS
Unless your item is a very popular high-end item, we do not recommend that you
waste $20 to be advertised as a Featured Listing or Featured Auction which runs for
$100. If your item is a name brand item, you can be rest assured that it will be
found through the customer searches on Ebay.

FIND A CUSTOMER
Recently Ebay added a new feature which helps you find customers for specific
products. This is called the WANT IT NOW section of Ebay. You can search for
what people are looking for and then see if your supplier has that product. If they
do have the product the customer is looking for (p.s. which the list I will give you
will have the products people are looking for at least 50% of the time), then just tell
them you have it and there you go. You just made an easy sale! You didn't even
need to wait for customers to find you. You went and found them. You can easily
make at least 10 sales a day in the Want It Now section and boost your sales by at
least $1,000 per month. Take advantage of this method!

KEYWORDS, KEYWORDS, KEYWORDS

You must understand that keywords are the most important thing on the Internet as
well as on Ebay. Just like when you do a search on the Search Engines the first
pages on the list are the ones with the best keyword optimization, same thing by
Ebay searches. Make sure that you use every single keyword that pertains to the
item you are selling in your auction template so that your auction is easily found!
And make sure your title has the keywords as well.

Be very specific in your descriptions and your return policies. Business is about

Personally, the best method for my wife and I to find wholesalers was by actually
asking people, retailers, stores, and researching, where these wholesalers are that
do not require us to buy in huge amounts in order to get a wholesale price. I finally
found a huge wholesaler of top brand electronics and I cut an honest deal with him.
I sell on Ebay and I guarentee that I will buy at least 1,000 items from you every
month after giving me just 2 months of buying in smaller quantities. This happened
5 years ago and I am still buying from this supplier until today. I have people who
run my Ebay business now (all 5 Ebay accounts). I now buy about 3,000 pieces
from this supplier every month. Ebay is a guaranteed sales venue if you put in the
hard work in the beginning.

My wife recently (5 months ago) found a supplier for GSM cellphones. My wife got
so many contacts from her Ebay customers, that she now became a supplier herself
and is now selling cell phones outside of Ebay as well. (She is also in the middle of

much less than if you bought directly from suppliers. You will find all this

You can find thousands of wholesalers throughout the world and buy from them in
bulk and sell the items for a profit on Ebay. The problem with this is that you need
to have start-up money and you need a place to keep inventory. Also, you might
end up with extra items that did not sell. Another pitfall with just plain old
wholesaling is that you end up paying for shipping to get the items and then pay
shipping again to get it to your customers. Even though we don't recommend using
just a wholesaler due to those reasons and to the fact that you have to spend time

Let's discuss a little bit the pros and cons of dropshipping. As you will see at the
dropship websites I will list below, most of them charge a fee which ranges between
$1 per item shipped - $29 monthly subscription. Right away this will probably turn
you away from dropshipping and that may be one of the biggest mistakes you
can make! The reason these dropshippers charge a fee because if they didn't then
all your customers from Ebay or other places will just buy from them. In other
words, you are gaining access to wholesale products which you don't need to buy in
bulk. All the department stores would go out of business. The fee is to turn away
the buyers who will not be reselling these items for retail prices.

Also, the extra fee is very well worth it when you consider how much time you are
saving, which in turn means you are saving money. You are saving the hassle of
packaging the items and going to the post office. Best of all, listing products on
Ebay is very simple with a dropshipper. I will show you some dropshippers that will
list the items for YOU on Ebay with the click of a button. Another option is that you
can copy the dropshipper's product pictures and descriptions and just set your own
price on Ebay.

Now let's calculate how much time and energy you save:
When I used to buy wholesale items in bulk and keep an inventory, I had to
list each item one by one. It took me about 10 – 15 minutes to list each item with a
good item description, title, keywords, and pictures. Therefore, in one hour I was
able to list about 5 or 6 items.

First you should sign up to an affiliate website. There are many of them. Almost
every business website today has an affiliate program. You can usually find the link
to join their affiliate program at the bottom of their web page. If you are interested
in promoting their product(s) then you have to sign up and get approved. This can
be time consuming if you are looking to promote products from different websites.
Therefore, the best thing to do is to join an affiliate website where you only sign up
once and there are thousands of products to choose from and all you have to do is
change the name in your link to that of the product you want to sell without having

the same idea.

At a forum people discuss issues that they have and are searching for advice
and expertise. All you have to do is tell them that you a product or service
that will help them. 90% of the recommendations that I have made in a
forum ended up in a sale. Some forums will not allow you to place an affiliate
link on your post or reply. In that case, you just tell the person to email you
or Instant Message you and you will give them the link then.

If you are trying to promote your own site then it is good to have a Signature
link which pretty much every forum gives you the option of having. It is highly
recommended you have your own unique signature which has something to do
with your website. This helps build recognition in the long run.

Note: You can do a search on the web for more forums that pertain to the
specific niche you are trying to sell your product to. For example: If I want to
sell an affiliate product I found in Clickbank, let's say an SEO Program. I go to
Clickbank, choose a product, and get my affiliate link.

Then you type in your Clickbank ID in the next screen (in the picture I am
typing a made-up ID. You should put in the ID you got when you signed in to
Clickbank).
You well get an affiliate link to promote that product, and when someone buys
that product with your ID attached to it then you make money.
Now that I have my affiliate link, I will go to a forum and talk about it. Since
this is an SEO program which has to do with getting high ranking for a
website, I will go to the forums listed above and find where they talk about
websites and Search Engine Optimization and I will write something about this
product and how great it is and place my affiliate link in the post. Then I
would also search for SEO websites that have forums in them and post there
as well. I do a search and I find a website called SEO-News.com which has a
forum. The link is http://www.seo-news.com/cgi-
bin/gforum/gforum.cgi . Here I will definitely find someone who is looking
for an SEO program or advice and I will recommend this program with my link
http://moneykit.beanstalki.hop.clickbank.net. I go to my customers
directly and make a definite sale. Click on my link and you will come to a
website. If you would buy from it then I make money. (Note: moneykit is a
made-up Clickbank ID for the purpose of this book. “beanstalki” in the above
link is the ID of the program you would be advertising for and promoting. This
program sells for $195. At Clickbank it tells me that I will make $64 per sale

 of this product. If I just go to a couple of forums, let's just say I go to 5, then
I will make an easy $320. That is clean profit, no need to ship or deal with
customers. I just recommend and make money. Clickbank will send me a
check. The same applies to all the other affiliate sites listed earlier.

● Ezine Advertising
Advertising on Ezines is one of the most successful ways of targeting your
product to the people who are looking for it. Also known as a newsletter, an
Ezine is an electronic magazine which is delivered to people who ask for it
(subscribers) via email, blogs, or on web pages. The reason Ezines work so
well is because they are delivered to a very targeted group of readers.

Now, wouldn't it be great to have your ad on the front of one of these Ezines
which will be seen by hundreds and thousands of targeted readers!

Well, the way to find the right Ezine for your product and niche is by simply
doing a search for it on the Internet Many websites provide Ezine
subscriptions for their visitors and they offer advertisement opportunities on
their Ezines.

To save the hassle of searching for Ezines to advertise on, I highly recommend

PPC (Pay-Per-Click) Advertising is a method of advertising that will cost you

every dollar you spend. PPC is an advertising technique used on websites,

When you do a search on the web, whether on Google, Yahoo, MSN, and other
search engines, you will find that there are Sponsored Links on top and on the right.
For example, if I do a search for the phrase “Online Casino” on www.Google.com I
will see Sponsored links on the top and to the right of the search results.

themselves or affiliate like you and I trying to get commission by promoting
products or programs. Most of the are affiliates.

The way it works is that you open an account with Google, for example (there are
many PPC ad programs and I will list which ones to join soon), and you write up an
ad that fits with the guidelines of the program. Then you set a bidding price of how
much you are willing to pay for every time someone clicks on your ad. Now, if you
are a Newbie you may get carried away and start bidding high to get a top
placement and you will set your daily budget high and choose all the keywords you

can think. Well, i am here to tell you to be careful, because you can lose a lot of
money if you don't follow my instructions on this.

First let's list the PPC programs you should join:

The following you should join if you want to increase your earnings and spread
on the Internet:
● FindIt-Quick
● LookSmart
● Kanoodle
● 7Search
● GoClick
● Search123
● EnHance
● Also find more PPC programs at www.payperclicksearchengines.com.

Google is by far the most popular search engine on the Internet 80% of
content and sites on the Internet are found through Google's Search Engine.
Therefore, the PPC advertising costs are more expensive since there are many
competitors competing for the top Sponsored Link Ads.

But don't worry. There is a way to bypass the competition and still beat them.
We will discuss now how to write your ads effectively where your conversion rates
will be very high. That means that your ads won't just be clicked by anybody. You
want only prospective customers to click on your ads (...remember, each click costs
you money).
(1) If you are a beginnner with PPC advertising then I would start off with
setting a budget of $5 per day.

(2) For your ad you should set the bid at $.05. That's right! Don't bid higher
than 5 cents. You may be thinking that your ad won't be seen at all since
you are such a low bidder. This may be true on most of the PPC programs
such as Yahoo. However, Google Adwords gives priority to those ads that
have the highest Click-Through Ratio (CTR). All that means is that your ad
has a high ratio of clicks to the page impressions of the ads. If my ad
appears 100 times and is clicked on 80 times then that is an 80% CTR and is
extremely high. That is a good sign. Our goal is to bid low and get high a
Click-Through ratio.

(3) Let's work together now and write up an ad with Google Adwords. Open
your Adwords account and click on the “keyword targeted” link in the Create

(4) I want to advertise my affiliate link of a computer Spyware Removal

Program I found at Clickbank.com. So I name my ad Spyware as well as my
Ad Group.

(5) Next we will only choose the countries that provide the best conversion
ratios. You don't want to sell an expensive computer program to countries
that can't really afford it. Therefore, we will put our ads for USA, Canada.
Ireland, New Zealand, Australia, Unite Kingdom, Hong Kong, and Singapore.
This does not mean that the other countries are poor; rather, these are the
countries which, after long testing periods, I found to have returned the best
conversion ratio of clicking my ads and actually purchasing the product.
Obviously, if you have a niche product that is geared to other countries or
regions, then you should advertise there.

(6) Look at the ad that I wrote below. I will explain why I did certain things in
the ad.

a. In the headline you would normally just type in a phrase such as

Spyware Removal Software. That is fine. However, what I did is a little

secret that not many “Gurus” know about. It is a secret that increased my
CTR tremendously. Type in the following: {KeyWord:Your Headline} .
By placing the brackets with the word “KeyWord:” in it I will get better ad
appearance. Before I go on, you must make sure that the letters K and W
of the word “KeyWord” are capitalized and then put a semi-colon. What
does this do to my ad? Well, in the next step in Google Adwords we are
going to need to choose a bunch of keywords that we want to promote our
ad with. That means that when someone does a search of one of the
keywords we choose, our ad will show up for that search. Now let's say
that one of the keywords we choose is “computer viruses”. When someone
does a search for that keyword than my ad will show up. However, if my
the headline of my ad reads “Spyware Software” then my ad will not catch
the eye of the searcher since the headline will not be BOLDED. The
headline only gets bolded if your headline has the same words as that
keywords the searcher typed into Google. The {KeyWord:Spyware
Software} that we typed will make it that as long as the keywords the
searcher put into Google is 25 characters or less, then their exact keywords
will show up as your headline when they do a search. So when someone
does a search for “computer viruses” our ad's headline will read “Computer
Viruses” and it will be bolded. The searcher will most likely click on our ad
since that is the exact phrase he did a search for. The only time this won't
happen is when the searcher types in a long phrase of more than 25
characters as his search; so if the searcher types into his search “how to get
rid of Spyware from my computer” then our headline will read “Spyware
Software” with only the word Spyware bolded since that word is in his
search. I like to call this method of headline typing - the BRACKET TRICK.
This will increase your CTR and, hence, you won't need to bid high for your
ad placement.

b. Some marketing “GURUS” will suggest for you to write really eye-
catching ads since that will attract attention and people will click on the ad.
This is true...IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF MONEY TO THROW AWAY! The
problem with writing ads like “Spyware Sucks and You should get Kill It
Now” is that you will get many clicks from customers who are just clicking
because your ad was funny or enticing. This will cost you money. Because
of this issue, I suggest to write the cost of the program if possible just like
in the ad we made. By stating that the product will cost $39.95 you are
guaranteed to get clicks only from people who are serious about purchasing
Spyware removal software. Your conversion rate will be much higher and
so will your CTR.

c. In our ad above I chose a Clickbank product which costs $39.95. Just to

point out, you would make 65% of that which is $23.36. And you can find
many such programs on Clickbank and other affiliate programs.

 Now imagine this. If I get 100 clicks per day on my ad and it only cost me
$.05 per click, then that is a total cost of $5. If only 1 person from the 100
purchased the product then I already made an $18.36 profit ($23.36 - $5).
With the tactics I just showed you, however, you can be rest assured that
more than 1% of the clicks will end up in a sale.
In the beginning of your ad campaign you probably won't get 100 clicks per
day with a bid of $.05 per click. However, when Google sees that you have
a high CTR (after you apply the 2 methods I showed you above), then you
will have better ad placement and more clicks by buying customers. Also,
you can make as many ads as you want and promoting different but similar
products. If you have 10 ads like the one above, with different words and
promoting different Spyware Removal programs, then even if you get 10
clicks on each ad you would have 100 clicks in total. 1 sale and you made a
profit. 2 sales and you made $46.72 in sales. If you make just 3 sales per
day then you are making over $65 per day PROFIT which means $1,950 per
month by just promoting 1 product. There is no limit to how much money
you can make.

d. After years of working with PPC advertising and making thousands of

split tests with my ads, I came to a conclusion which seems so minuscule
but somehow it makes a big difference. I have found that the ads which I
had that the display URL showed a “www.” had a worse click-through rate
than the ads that didn't have it. That is why in the ad above I wrote
“Nuker.com” in the display URL without writing “www.Nuker.com”.

(7) Now we are up to the next step of the Google Adwords campaign. The
next page we must choose the keywords we want to target. You can also
target specific phrases by putting it in brackets. For example: [spyware
removal software] is a keyword phrase which, when typed exactly that way,
my ad will come up if I put it in brackets. If I don't put the brackets, so even
if someone types the word “removal” as their search then I might get an
unnecessary click. You can read more about this by clicking here.

You will also notice that Google Adwords already makes suggestions for you of
keywords to use. My suggestion is as follows: If you are willing to put up
some many and get many clicks, then go ahead and ad all the suggestions
that Google gives you for keywords. However, I prefer researching my
keywords and seeing how many times they are searched. You will find that
most people do searches with very broad keywords. It's almost guaranteed
that any clicks they make, if any, will not end up in a sale. When one does a
search on the Internet, they will find what they want or need only if they are
specific in the keywords they type into the search engine. Therefore, I do
research on SPECIFIC keyword phrases that are directly related to the product
I am promoting.

You can go to www.inventory.overture.com where you can type in a
keyword and it will tell you how many times per month that keyword or phrase
was searched on Yahoo. (on Google the searches are approximately 3 times
more than in Yahoo). I will type the word “Spyware” in the Overture Keyword
Tool. You will notice that there were more than half-a-million searches for the
keyword in May 2006. On Google it was probably searched over 1 million
times. You must understand that not everyone who searched fro “Spyware
was looking for a Spyware removal software. Some were doing research on
Spyware and some just want to know what Spyware is. Some are just
looking for content for a website. These are not prospective customers for our
product. We want someone looking for “spyware removal software” or
“adware and spyware remover.” Those are the types of keywords we want to
advertise for. You may find hundreds of specific keywords to target. Another
great place to find good keywords is at GoodKeywords.com. Just download
the free tool. Their tool will also give you suggestions for common
misspellings for the keyword you are researching. This is a great way to beat
the competition when the one searching makes a spelling mistake in their
search.

which we will be using for many things later in the book as well.

We are pretty much done explaining Google Adwords. Nevertheless, you

should try to take advantage of the other PPC Advertisers as well.

● Write a Blog – one of the most fun ways to make money!

Writing a blog is so easy that it is a shame some people don't take advantage of
this. It is literally a free website with decent templates and great potential for
money-making success.

A blog is just a site where you can jot down your ideas, opinions, reviews of
products, or just plain information. Pretty much Anything! This opens up a great
venue for an affiliate marketer. I personally make lots of money with a couple of
blogs I created and which I update about once a week. I spend no more than 2
hours per week on my blogs. You can make lots of money within a few days. Let's
see how.

First, you would need to sign up at a blog site. Here are the top 3 blog sites to use
and I will tell you why to use one or all of these 3.

The best one to use is Blogger since it is one of the highest ranking sites on the
Internet and it is run by none other than, of course, Google. The advantage of
Blogger is that it is constantly being spidered by the search engines, which means
that any changes you make to your blog will be quickly detected by the search
engines. The higher a site ranks then the more the search engines pay attention to
it. However, the other two blog sites are good as well and have very nice templates
and rank high as well.

Blogs can be fun if you will write about things that interest you. Think about
anything that interests you and then find products or services which you can be an
affiliate for that pertains to your blog. You can put links or reviews of your affiliate
products and make money easily.

In the chapter about creating a website we will discuss how to optimize your
website or blog so that it will rank high for search engines. We will also discuss
about where to find content for your blog if you are not someone who likes to type
or write much.

 By now you should have some understanding of how to make money as an
affiliate. Hopefully, you are not overwhelmed. Though we discussed many ideas,
keep in mind that if you are persistent there is no way you cannot make money with
what we discussed until now. Once you start it off, after a month or two you should
be able to only spend no more than one hour per day on your affiliate business.

CREATING A WEBSITE
Do I need my Own Website?

The answer is Yes and you don't need to spend a dime on it!
Let me explain.

Most people think that you must pay hundreds or even thousands of dollars in

order to have a professional website and that it is the only way to have a business
online. The truth is that you do not need to have your own website to make money.
First of all, you can sell on Ebay and make a great income. We'll get to that in the
Ebay chapter. Secondly, you can make your own FREE website, also known as a
blog. YES, this is your own free website and you can use it to promote any product,
idea, or message that you want. I will show you late in the affiliate section how my
15-year-old brother makes about $800 per month on a blog that he writes about his
musical hobbies.

I recommend the following sites if you want to start a blog:

A newer one that is making it really big is www.Squidoo.com . Take advantage

and make sure you target the proper keywords. You will get noticed by search
engines.

Blogger.com is the best one to use since it is one of the highest ranking websites on
the Internet. That means that it gets indexed by the Search Engines very often.
That, in turn, means that whenever you update your blog you can be rest assured
that the changes will be seen in the search engines by anyone who searches for
your topics. Search Engine rankings will be discussed in a later chapter.

I personally use all three blog sites in order to promote the same product. All
one needs to do in order to succeed with blogging is to update it with interesting
information daily (I'll show you where to get content later) and make money in
several ways that I will discuss in the chapter labeled “Creating Money-Making
Websites.”

In short, you don't need to pay for an expensive website, and you don't have
to have a blog at all if you don't want. I highly recommend you do promote some
sort of product (we'll see later which ones and how) in order to keep with the
multiple streams of income method. But be my guest if you want to just use the
other methods of making money that I will teach you.

Overview
This is a very important chapter so first we must understand a couple of
fundamental ideas about websites and how you can profit from them easily.

Whether your business strategy is to sell your own physical products, promote
affiliated products (where you get commission), sell a service, or just give out
information, you will need a website so that people can have access to those
products and services. We already discussed selling products and information on

Ebay and its great income potential; now we will discuss the importance of
channeling that business with another stream of income, and that is YOUR OWN
WEBSITE. If you are a newbie at Internet marketing then at this point you are
probably getting scared. Well don't be scared because the tactics and resources
that we will provide you here will have you with a fully loaded website within a day
and ready to make you serious money.

Making your Website

We already discussed that you can make a free website within minutes using one of
the blogs. Please understand that a blog is your OWN WEBSITE! It can make you
serious money and blogs rank very well on search engines. The only downside to
blogs is that you are limited to the design and feel. Also you can suddenly get
kicked off if they suspect you of spamming the Internet with useless or copyrighted
information.

If you are more experienced with website creating the you can create your own
website from scratch using the following programs. You will need some knowledge
of HTML programming to create these websites. Also, it will cost you some money
to get these programs:

No matter what kind of website you are making, a big money-maker is Google
Asdsense. You'll remember that we discussed about PPC Advertising and Google
Adwords. Well, those ads also appear on people websites because Google puts
them there if the website owner wants to get a commission of the money Google
makes from those Adwords. The Sponsored Google Ads which appear on websites
are called Google Adsense ads. Here are picture shots of a few websites that utilize

Google does not say how much money you make per click, but Google does say that
the amount depends on the type of ads and the type of products.

All you need to do is sign up for Google Adsense which is free, and paste a code
onto your website. Google will post advertisements on your website and you make
money every time someone just CLICKS on an ad. It's so simple to use and you
can choose the types of ads and the feel or design of the ads. To learn how to
strategically place these ads on your website then click here. It would be a loss of
income if you do not place these ads on your website. Please note that Yahoo also
has a Sponsored Link program but Google is a lot easier to use and a lot more
profitable since the bids on Google Adwords are much higher. Even though you

might only get $.05 - $1 per click, it all adds up when you have hundreds or
thousands of people visiting your site everyday. But PLEASE Caution: Do not click
on the ads on your own site thinking you will make money for yourself! Google will
catch you and you will never be able to join the program again! So join the
program, make your money, and follow the rules.

A great tactic for money-making with Adsense is by purchasing PPC (Pay-per-click)

ads directing to your website for cheap and getting visitors to click on the Adsense
ads on your site which are more expensive. Let me explain. We have mentioned
that purchasing PPC ads on Google costs more than by other PPC programs. These
are the steps to take:
1) Place Adsense ads strategically in your blog or website.
2) Pay a cheap price for visitors by buying PPC ads from a cheap PPC program
such as Miva.com.
3) Let's say you pay $.05 per click on Miva, then that customer will hopefully click
on your Adsense ads on your website and you make $.20 - $1.00 since the ads
being displayed on your site are from the expensive Google Adsense ads. So
you pay 5 cents, for example, and make 20 cents. This is all automatic so it's
very easy.
4) For example, I have a blog that talks about car-buying tips. I have Adsense
ads placed in my blog. I have an ad campaign with Miva.com where I pay only
5 cents for each click. The ads are advertisements for my blog. When a
visitor that clicked on my Miva ad comes to my blog and will most likely click
on an Adsense ad, I make money on that click and it is most definitely more
than $.05. Most of my Adsense ads generate for me about $.30 - $.50 per
click on that topic of Car Buying Tips. This is due to the fact that advertisers
are paying Big Money on Google Adwords (even more than $1 per click in
many cases) and I get a commission from those clicks.

What an easy way to make money. Here are some Adsense tips:
1) Choose an ad style which matches the background of your blog or website.
This way, the visitor will think he is just clicking on a regular link on your site
and not on an advertisement.
2) Place small pictures above the Adsense ads. It is a proven way of attracting
clicks to the Adsense ads. So for my blog I found little Clip-Art images of
cars and I placed them above my Adsense Ads. This can increase your click-
through rate by more than 70%.

Your own Affiliate Website

We have discussed different ways you can promote affiliate products through
articles, blogs, forums, and PPC advertising. Now we will discuss having your own
affiliate website.

Making an affiliate website is a very similar idea to everything we have discussed
with affiliate marketing through articles and blogs. You need to have good content
on your website with good information, and have your affiliate links in the body of
the content or articles. Having your own website is a major advantage since you
can choose your own ___domain name and promote it how you want.

You can have your own affiliate website created for you without you having to do a
thing. There are several programs I recommend that will make one for you for a
fee:

sell your own informational products. There is no need to know HTML programming

Promoting Your Website and SEO

(Search Engine Optimization)

This section is probably the most important part of your website creation. You can
have the most amazing and attractive website, but if it is not optimized for the
search engines then you will never have customers (unless you want to pay
thousands of dollars per month for advertising).

Overview:
It is estimated that 85% of new visitors to a website originate from the major
search engines. Every website, therefore, should be optimized so that people
can find the website.

Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is a set of methods aimed at improving the

ranking of a website in search engine listings. Search Engines display different
kinds of listings in the search engine results pages, including: pay per click
advertisements (PPC), paid inclusion listings, and organic search results. SEO is
primarily concerned with advancing the goals of a website by improving the number
and position of its organic search results for a wide variety of relevant keywords.
SEO strategies may increase both the number and quality of visitors to your
website.

New sites do NOT need to be “submitted” to search engines to be listed. A simple

link from an established site will get the search engines to visit the new site and
begin to spider its contents. Depending on the PageRank of that site, it can take
anywhere from a few days to a few weeks for all the main search engine spiders to
commence visiting and indexing the new site.

Sites made with Macromedia Flash are harder to optimize because it is difficult for
the spiders to crawl Flash animation sites. Methods are available for optimizing
graphical content, including ALT attributes, and adding a text caption. Even Flash
animations can be optimized by designing the page to include alternative content in
case the visitor cannot read Flash.

Some methods considered proper and recommended by the search engines:

Using unique and relevant title to name each page.
Editing web pages to replace vague wording with specific terminology relevant
to the subject of the page, and that the audiences that the site was developed
for will expect to see on the pages, and will search with to find the page.
Increasing the amount of unique content on the site.
Writing quality content for the website visitors instead of the search engines.
Using a reasonably-sized, accurate description meta tag without excessive use
of keywords, exclamation marks, or off-topic terms.
Ensuring that all pages are accessible via anchor tab hyperlinks; this can be
done through the use of text-based links in site navigation and also via a page
listing all the contents of the site (a site map).
Developing “link bait” strategies. High quality websites that offer interesting
content or novel features tend to accumulate large numbers of backlinks.
Participating in a web ring with other quality websites.
Writing useful, informational articles in exchange for attribution to the author
by hyperlink.

Some methods considered unproper by the search engines:
Cloaking - this is a very deceptive process in all circumstances unless there is
no impact (deletion, formatting, or insertion) on content delivered to the
visitor different than to the search engine spiders. Where the stated objective
of the tool [filtering by IP number or User Agent] is to facilitate the delivery of
differing content based upon visitor/search engine identification processes the
implementation of cloaking technology is considered BAD. Although not all
engines can detect cloaked sites, and some may choose to allow it, cloaked
sites are considered spam in most cases. Google has stated that they have a
tool that can detect such pages and is removing cloaked sites from their index
where deception is involved.

Transparent, hidden, misleading, and inconspicuous links -- the use of

any fully transparent image for a link, the use of hidden links (possibly in
DIV/LAYERs), any link associated with a graphic without words / symbols that
can be interpreted as even remotely representing the effect of taking the link,
or inconspicuous links like 1x1 pixel graphics or the use of links on punctuation
(<a href=link> </a><a href=real-link>real words</a><a href=link>.</a>)
would be "spam" and a cause for removal from a search engine index.

Understanding Pagerank and how it helps for search engines

Google explains Pagerank in the following way:
“PageRank relies on the uniquely democratic nature of the web by using its vast link structure as an
indicator of an individual page's value. In essence, Google interprets a link from page A to page B as a
vote, by page A, for page B. But, Google looks at more than the sheer volume of votes, or links a page
receives; it also analyzes the page that casts the vote. Votes cast by pages that are themselves
"important" weigh more heavily and help to make other pages "important."
Important, high-quality sites receive a higher PageRank, which Google remembers each time it
conducts a search. Of course, important pages mean nothing to you if they don't match your query.
So, Google combines PageRank with sophisticated text-matching techniques to find pages that are
both important and relevant to your search. Google goes far beyond the number of times a term
appears on a page and examines all aspects of the page's content (and the content of the pages
linking to it) to determine if it's a good match for your query.”

Toolbar PageRank measures PageRank from 0 to 10. Many people assume that the
Toolbar PageRank is a proxy value determined through a logarithmic scale. Google
has not disclosed the precise method for determining a Toolbar PageRank value.
Google representatives, such as engineer Matt Cutts, have publicly indicated that
the Toolbar PageRank is republished about once every three months, indicating that
the Toolbar PageRank values are generally unreliable measurements of actual
PageRank value for most periods of the year.

Getting indexed on Google within 24 hours

The higher the Pagerank of your site, then the more important it is on the Google

search engine. (Remember, 85% of the searches on the Internet are done via
Google). Getting a high pagerank for your website or blog can take a very long
time.
Here are a few tips for a quick pagerank increase:

Trade links with high pagerank sites. This process is called reciprocal linking.
When an important site has a link to your site, then your Pagerank increases.
Typically, you can get on top of the search engines within a day or two by just
linking with a website that has a PR of 6 to 10. This is relatively speaking the
hardest part of link building, since it involves you finding a relatively high
ranking site, convincing them to link to your site, and you linking to their site.
The latter is easy, since the Internet allows you to link to other people's sites
without permission.

Sometimes the best candidates will be your direct competitors. You can expect
them to definitely be unwilling to place a link to your site (then again, who
knows), but you must still ask. There will probably be a
[email protected] link to contact them or a page for related links on
their site. When requesting reciprocal linkage, you should provide your site's
URL and description (not too verbose), stating how such a link will benefit their
visitors, and in return, their website profile and/or profitability.
Be polite and subtle and you will be pleasantly surprised at the results. Be
honest on your own side; if you are reciprocal linking with your direct
competitors then don't cheat, place their links on your page.

Exchanging Links
Exchanging links with websites related to yours is a great method of attracting
new traffic. You can find websites to exchange links with by carrying out
searches on the key phrases you've researched. Even if you don't rank No.1
for a phrase, you could always ask the website that does if they could put a
link to your site on one of their pages. You can also do a Link Check
(http://www.marketleap.com/publinkpop/) on your competitor sites and
see who is linking to them, then all you do is email those sites and ask them if
they could link to your site too.

To find pages with high PR, you can just do a search for the keywords you are
optimizing your site for and then link to the sites that show up on top of the
search. These sites will most probably have a high pagerank. Then just
contact them and request a link swap. You can also find which sites are most
relevant to yours and, therefore, worth linking to by going to the SEOChat tool
section. You can see this by clicking here. Just type in a keyword or phrase
and the tool will give you the pagerank of all the relevant sites. You want to
link to the high PR sites.

The easiest and quickest software for link trading is the SEOElite program. I
only recommend it if you want to save time or if you are lazy to do the steps

are not highly valued by search engines. To avoid a penalty, Google
recommends that every paid link you buy is tagged with 'rel=no follow'.

Give visitors the information they're looking for. Provide high-quality content
on your pages, especially your homepage. This is the single most important
thing to do. If your pages contain useful information, their content will attract
many visitors and entice webmasters to link to your site. In creating a helpful,
information-rich site, write pages that clearly and accurately describe your
topic. Think about the words users would type to find your pages and include
those words on your site.
Without good content, no webmaster will want to link to your site. Create a
useful, information-rich site, and write pages that clearly and accurately
describe your content.

Write articles and include your website URL in the signature. Submit the
articles on the free article sites which we listed earlier (those article sites have
a high PR and will get your site indexed quickly if you include your link in the
article.) Articles relating to the content of your site should be written clearly
and concisely. You should focus on providing information that is relevant to
someone who is interested in getting information on that field.

Not only is the number of links important, also important is the caliber (or
quality) of sites which have links to your site. Your site is given a higher
ranking if the site that links to yours is also a highly ranked site which offers
rich and relevant content. But keep in mind, just linking for the sake of SEO
can lead to a site being penalized by the major search engines. The sites that
link to yours must be related sites. This shows the search engine that you are
not only concerned about ranking, but that you want to provide the online
public more information, and that you are really offering value. This makes the
practice of contracting linking to companies that guarantee you links
dangerous, as you are not aware of their linking methods (perhaps they just
link all comers together) and a mistake could cause you to be banned from a
search engine.

Write blogs. Create blogs on topics related to your site's content and then
provide links to your site. Your blogs should be as creative as possible. Ideally
they should be in ezine form.
With links to other topics which will help the individual looking for content,
your blogs will provide inward links as well as related content. The content
should be related; it does not necessarily have to be the same content.
Blogging is free and ensures that you are not guilty of just building "shadow
sites" which just link back to your site, a technique for which you could be
penalized.

 Regarding the web page you're targeting, use your keyword(s) once in the
page title, once in your page headers, in at least one of the alt tags of your
pictures and around 0.5 - 2 % of your pages total words. I've found this
makes a difference when the spiders come crawling your pages.

Designing and Coding your Website

An obvious and overlooked aspect of search engine optimization is to make sure
that search engine spiders can actually crawl to all of your website's pages. If the
spiders and robots can't find them, then they won't get indexed, and we’ve wasted a
lot of time on search engine optimization. Make sure that your navigation structure
of your website is strong. Would you build a mansion on a one inch foundation?
Probably not! Then why build your website mansion on a weak foundation. This
means that all of your pages are linked together on every page. When the spider
crawls throughout your website, it will crawl to all of the pages and back again. If
there is one broken link, this could affect your search engine rankings!

Don’t forget the not so obvious:

•Robots and Spiders can't see links embedded in Java and most times Flash. When
a spider and a robot crawls over your website, it only reads the text, and those
embedded links are invisible to the spiders and robots far as search engines are
concerned, they don't exist. Let’s make a promise not to use them.

•How many times have you clicked on a link and looked at the URL, and it contained
about 32 extra letters and numbers in it? Google won't spider any URL that looks
like this. Avoid using dynamic URLs.

•Make sure all pages link to at least one other page. Links to pages that don't link
out are called "dangling links". Google founders, Sergey Brin and Lawrence Page,
once wrote about Dangling links: "Dangling links are simply links that point to any
page with no outgoing links. They affect the model because it is not clear where
their weight should be distributed, and there are a large number of them. Often

these dangling links are simply pages that we have not downloaded yet..........
Because dangling links do not affect the ranking of any other page directly, we
simply remove them from the system until all the PageRanks are calculated. After
all the PageRanks are calculated they can be added back in without affecting things

•It is good to structure the internal links so that targeted keywords are reinforced.
For example, organize the links so that a topic's sub-topic pages link to the topic
page with the right link text, and vice-versa.

Off-page elements
A prominent keyword site that delivers the best possible keywords for your website
says to “enter each keyword and separate them with a comma.” I, on the other
hand, say “DO NOT separate these words with a comma.” There is no need to
separate them because the search engines ignore the commas. The words in the
Keywords tag were never treated as keywords by the search engines; they were
treated as text on the page. I keep hearing that the keyword tag is not as effective
as it used to be, and then I’ll click a link and it says it’s an absolute. My advice to
you is to put plenty of relevant keywords into the tag and include the keyword once
at the front, and a second time further along the line. Do me a favor and do
yourself a favor? Do not repeat a word more than 5 times. If you do, the search
engines will think you are spamming them and they will drop you quick.

The H tag
< Hn >Insert your headings or your titles of your text here< /Hn >
The “H” stands for headings throughout your text and the "n" stands for the text
size from 1 to 6. The smallest is 6 and the biggest heading size is 1. H tags are
given more weight than ordinary text and, the bigger the H size, the more weight it
receives. So include the target keyword in H tags at least once on the page, and two
or three times if possible. Also, place the first H tag as near to the top of the page
as possible.

Bold text
Bold text is given more weight than ordinary text but not as much as H tags. As
much as is reasonable, enclose the keyword in bold tags when it appears on the
page.

Text
The body should be easy to read with a very clean layout. Remember when I visited
the hosting sites, and they have Adwords on the left, and they have the affiliate
products on the right, and their actual text or body is 10 inches below. Let’s cut out
all the extra stuff. Treat your website as an entity. When you do that, buyers will

remain on your website. Perfect! You have achieved your goal of getting traffic to
stay.

In your text, use the main keywords as often as you can on the page without
messing with this clean user-friendly layout.. Use the term once or twice very early
in the page's body text and as often as possible throughout. Reword small parts and
even add sentences to make sure that the keyword is well represented in the text.
In all probability, each word in the keyword will be found on the page separate from
the keyword itself. This is good. In fact, if they are not there on their own, add a
few of them through the page.

Alt text img src="url" alt="Type in text that will show up on images on

Alt-text is simple. Blind people have speech synthesizers that read pictures. The
only way the blind person will be able to “hear” the picture is if you included the Alt-
text. This is the text you see on pictures when you mouse over it. Guess what?
Include the keywords in the alt text of all images on the page. Not to mention that
this could definitely help your search engine rankings.

Summary
● Make a list of keywords for your site. Rank the popularity of the keywords
because that’s what your visitor will type in the Search Engines.
● Make sure each page of your website has at least one major keyword and split
some pages if necessary.
● Make sure the links and link text contain your target keywords If possible,
organize links from other sites to suit the target keywords and their pages.
● Organize all the on-page elements to suit each page's target keyword.
● Relax and shoot for number one rankings.

General Things to look out for When Creating your Website (Advanced)

Javascript: You might have the most wonderful JavaScript powered menu in the
world, but search engines don't usually read JavaScript. So make sure your menu is
useable without it.

Images: there is a property for images called 'alternate text'. You see it used like
this: <img src="somefile.gif" alt="some file or other"> Make sure you use it - it's all
the search engine will see of your wonderful graphics, and that makes it important!

Clean code: If your site uses the first 500 lines just setting up your nested tables
and rollover JavaScript effects, the important stuff gets pushed further down the
page. Most search engines appear to stop reading your page after a certain point -
usually a file size limit. If your site is listed, you can click the 'cached' button on

most search engines to find out how much of your page it has read.

Structured code: Make sure your headings are marked up as headings (using
<h1> etc) not a mix of bold and font tags. Heading tags are ranked as more

forget you can use CSS to style the heading tags exactly as you want them, so you
don't lose anything in terms of formatting.

Fancy fonts as images: Many people use images to get fancy fonts into their
headings. If you're one of those people, you can markup your code as follows:
<h1><img src="heading.jpg" alt="HTML Goodies.com - the place to learn
HTML"></h1> (swap the h1 for the level of heading you need)

Title: There is a title tag buried in the head section of your page. Use it and make
sure it's relevant - most search engines will use its content as the title of your
listing.

Submitting and Promoting your Site

Once your website or blog is ready, you musr submit it to the search engines and
directories to get visitors. Golden Rule: DO NOT submit to the Google URL
submission!!! This can hurt your pagerank and it can take up to 6 weeks to get
listed on Google's index. You should implement the startegies I stated before:
exchange links with high PR sites and that will get you listed on Google within days
and even within a few hours if the pagerank of that site is 7 or higher. For the other
search engines such as Yahoo and MSN you should submit directly to them, as well
as to directories, and ping your blogs.

RSS is a family of webfeed formats, specified in XML and used for Web
Syndication. RSS is used by (among other things) news websites, weblogs,

the full versions of the content, and other metadata. RSS, in particular, delivers

readers to track updates on the site using an aggregator.

That must have sounded like the biggest load of garbage you ever heard. All it
pretty much means is that people can choose to be updated about changes on your
website or blog and receive those updates without having to check your website all
the time to see if anything changed.

You can publish news feeds on your website easily and instantly. You can improve

Rss Feeds will help you increase your backlinks from other websites who will

possible coverage with Bloglines, MyYahoo, NewsGator and others.

● I-Newswire - This site is an eclectic mix of news, arts, entertainment and

media releases. This site has a very easy submission process and a good
search utility. You can hit the site and do a search for keywords that fit within
your business arena and get a good feel for what type of press release to
submit.

Post in Forums
Make frequent posts on forums with your website URL linked to your signature. This
is a fullproof way of publicizing your website and products to targeted customers.
Do a search for your niche market and post on forums which are found on nearly
90% of the top websites.

You can also have your own forum for free and easily. Just go to
www.phpBB.com and choose from tons of different forum styles. They have great
service staff and it is rather simple to set up.

Create a SiteMap
Sitemaps have become a very important tool for helping the search engine spiders
read your site better and faster. A site map (or sitemap) is a web page that lists
the pages on a web site site, typically organized in hierarchical fashion. This helps
visitors, and search engine bots, to find pages on the site.
Site maps can improve search engine optimization of a site by making sure that all
the pages can be found. This is especially important if a site uses Macromedia Flash
or JavaScript menus that do not include HTML links. You can create sitemaps for
free and easily in a few places:

is for the serious Web Marketer who wants to really optimize his website.

need to do is try any product of your choice and they will pay you for trying them.
There are over 200 products or services you can try. You take their trial (some
require a small payment), but then you can cancel during the trial so as not to incur
any membership fees. Treasure Trooper will pay you money for trying a product.
You can get paid up to $160 for trying a service.

If you have the time right now, you can go to Treasure Trooper, sign up to try all
the products, and you'll get over $2,000 deposited into your Paypal account within
the next 3 days. It takes Treasure Trooper approximately 3 days to confirm that
you actually took the trial.

For example: I paid $3.95 to get an online IQ of myself (p.s. The results were not
what I expected  ) and Treasure Trooper paid me $7. They are able to do this
since they get paid a lead commission from over 200 programs.

Getting paid to take surveys has become a growing online business. I recommend
joining a survey program as a side income for extra spending cash.

As a mystery shopper, you will play a very important role by helping businesses
establish and maintain the high customer service standards they need to remain
competitive. You will help the businesses by providing valuable information from a
customer's perspective.

Was the store attractive and well kept? Were the sales people friendly? Were all
items in stock? If the business was a restaurant, was the food good? What about

free car already insured; you just pay for gas and maintenance. I know someone

Everyone by now has heard of Myspace.com. It's where people set up
pages to talk about themselves, their hobbies, networking, advertising,
making friends, and just having a good time.

Well, there are those that make money directly through MySpace. There are

website, your products, your affiliate links, and even your Ebay Products.

I have done so and many others have as well.

The key with Myspace success is to have a lot of friends who join your

How do you gather friends. The slow way is by actually inviting as many

Everyone knows about Craigslist, but there are things to be aware of
regarding Craigslist rules.

● Duplicate ads get deleted automatically by Craigslist

● Too many ads from the same email address can get your ads deleted
● Users can get your ad flagged and removed if your ad is irrelevent or
offensive in any way.

So how can money (and I mean BIG money) be made through Craigslist?
For starters, if you have products that you want to sell, whetjer retail or
wholesale, you will find prospects in your city who are interested.

If you have a website, you can advertise it on Craigslit and it may even help
your site rank higher on the search engines.

However, there is a slight drawback:

“How can I make a lot of money on Craigslist if I am limited in the amount
of ads I can place and I dont have time to sign up for 100 email addresses
in order not to get my ads deleted from Craigslist.”

ads that prompt potential customers to a web page that captures leads; i.e
I get their name and email address and they agree to receive information
and promotions from me via email.

YouTube and Internet Video Marketing

The advancement of video marketing has recently changed the way
marketers do business online. Make videos and post them on your website
or on sites like YouTube.com. You can even place videos in your Ebay
listings and blogs.
What a way to capture prospective customers and build your credibility and
professionalism by offering visual descriptions and instructions.

(I know you are thinking: “Hey big talker, so why didn't you just make this
really long book into videos...that would have been more interesting.”
