2. Diameter- A chord that connects two points on the circle and passes through the center of
the circle. Every diameter is a chord. In Circle A above, BF is a diameter.
3. Radius- A line segment from the center of the circle to any point on the circle. In circle A
above, AD is a radius. (Note: radii -plural form of radius).
4. Central Angle- An angle formed by two radii. In circle A above, BAD is a central angle (Note:
this symbol represents angle)
5. Inscribed Angle- An angle whose vertex is on the circle. In circle A above, FBG is an
inscribed angle.
