Home
The Home tab holds the Cut and Paste features
Font and Paragraph options to add and organize
slides.
Insert
Click Insert to add something to a slide. This
includes pictures, shapes, charts, links, text
boxes, video and more.
Design
Transition
Transition is used to set up how slides change
from one to the next.
Animations
Slide Show
Slide Show tab is used to set up the way to show
the presentation to others.
View
Review
The Review tab lets to add comments, run spell-
check, or compare one presentation with another.
File
The File tab, is to use for the behind-the-scenes stuff you do with a file,
such as opening, saving, sharing, exporting, printing and managing
presentations.
Click from the list on the side to perform tasks such as open, save, new.
for example, click Print to find the options and settings for printing the
presentation.

Mini Toolbar
The handy Mini toolbar, helps to work with fonts, To turn off the Mini toolbar, can turn it off
alignment, text color, indenting, and bullets. follow the steps as explained below.

Formatting Text
WordArt is a quick way to make text stand out with special effects. A WordArt style can be picked up from the
WordArt gallery on the Insert tab, and then the text can be customized as per the requirement.
Steps
• Click Insert > WordArt and pick the WordArt style
to add.
• The placeholder text "Your text here" appears, with
the text highlighted.
• Enter text to replace the placeholder text.

Formatting Text
Steps to follow :
To change the horizontal placement of text, in the Alignment box, choose Left, Center, Right, Justified,
or Distributed.
Justified adds spacing between words so that the lines of text touch
both the left and right margins, except for the last line of the
paragraph, which uses normal word spacing.
Distributed is equal to Justified, but even the last line touches both
the left and right margins, with space added between words and
letters, as necessary.

Use the Ruler on the View tab of the ribbon, or the options in the Paragraph group on the Home tab.
• If the ruler isn’t visible at the top of the presentation, check the Ruler box on the View tab.
• Select the text to change, then do one of the following:
• To indent the first line, on the horizontal top ruler, drag the First Line Indent marker where the text to
start.

• To increase or decrease the left indent of the whole paragraph, on the Home tab, in the Paragraph group,
click Increase List Level or Decrease List Level.
• To create a hanging indent, where second and subsequent lines of a paragraph are indented more than the
first line, drag the Hanging Indent marker where the indent to start.
• To create a negative indent, where the text extends into the left margin, drag the Left Indent marker where
the paragraph to start.
