AUSA 2014: Textron offers armoured HMMWV solution
As an alternative to upgrading the HMMWV to its original capability, Textron Marine and Land Systems is offering the Survivable Combat Tactical Vehicle (SCTV).
Developed in partnership with Granite Tactical Vehicles, the SCTV is designed as an armoured solution to the HMMWV upgrade that is being shown at the AUSA Annual exhibition for the first time with an improved Cummins engine.
The engine is a 6.7l 275hp system that joins with 2500SP Allison transmission that can power an increased gross vehicle weight of 18,500lb vs that of the 13,450lb HMMWV.
