My .xawtvrc (which was autogenerated ages ago) did not contain a line saying [global]. After adding that on at the top, I was able to change values in .xawtvrc which do effect xawtv upon next start up. However, the change you requested does not touch the contents of this wishlist bug. To illustrate, look at http://www.itp.uni-hannover.de/~kreutzm/data/xawtv-channel.jpg which shows the channel window when it is poped up first. Please note, that there is still space below it. With the old version of xawtv (before upgrading to testing), the channel window looked like in http://www.itp.uni-hannover.de/~kreutzm/data/xawtv-channel-full.jpg which I can still achive by manually enlarging the channel window. It would be great if it could be possible, to get the channel window to use the largest vertical space available without needing to extend it. -- Helge Kreutzmann, Dipl.-Phys.
