No, not like condoms. If STDs became blockable with common sense and condoms started shipping with perforations and prickles on the inside then yes, but that's not the case is it.


I think he was trying to draw an analogy between installing untrusted software, and getting intimate with untrusted people. Both are avoidable.

One obvious difference is that the consequences of mistakes can be higher for STDs then for infected computers, but that's the analogy.


Condoms also prevent pregnancy. This comparison is ridiculous.
