jwz links don't work from Hacker News. They will get redirected.




Though as with sites that refuse entry if I have the adblocker active, I'll take the "if I'm not wanted, I just won't go" option. I doubt I'm missing anything life changing that I can't get elsewhere.


Ooh, I just figured that out. Insidious!

What would be even better is if the HN referrer would create a temporary blacklist for that IP.

Then when you paste a jwz URL into a new tab, he could send a response, "And don't try using a different browser, either!"


Just open it in a incognito window/tab.


only if you set up your browser to voluntarily send the http referrer


Most browsers are maliciously preconfigured to do that out of the proverbial box.
