Asking because I used and liked Yahoo! products earlier (Mail, Groups, Search, Developer Network, even the home page with the Internet directory early on, etc.).

I used Yahoo! Mail a lot earlier, Groups a good amount, Search of course, did projects that involved using Yahoo! Search APIs and Yahoo! Developer Network (very good quality of both content and presentation there, IIRC). Seems a shame that they declined.

I know some of the reasons, having followed it in the tech news, but was interested to know if anyone has done a detailed study of it.
