HitPiece has released a statement via Twitter. "Clearly we have struck a nerve and are very eager to create the ideal experience for music fans," wrote HitPiece. "To be clear, artists get paid when digital goods are sold on HitPiece. Like all beta products, we are continuing to listen to all user feedback and are committed to evolving the product to fit the needs of the artists, labels, and fans alike."

"Yes we are stealing/profiting off your personal work and we didn't ask for any kind of permission for that and you don't even want to be associated with NFTs, but it's ok because we claim that we'll pretend to give you a cut."

Just some info if you are actually interested in supporting artists: Bandcamp is bringing back Bandcamp Fridays[1][2], days on which Bandcamp waives their revenue share on purchases.
