The last few weeks I've seen a lot of tools on the front page of Hacker News which work by replacing a part of a URL by some other text. An example is the Hacker News social preview tool which was on the front page today.

All these posts on Hacker News had one thing in common: one of the top comments was someone saying that they could never remember which tools are out there. So, I've setup a Github repo[0] to keep track of the different tools out there and plan to build a browser plugin to automatically show you when you are on a website where one can be used.

Please share any tool that works by replacing part of the URL to help create the most complete list.
