Intel’s newest chips have efficiency cores alongside performance cores. They are actually somewhat competitive to M1 now



It would be more accurate to say Intel CPUs will have performance cores alongside efficiency cores from 13th gen onwards.

That is to say, i9 13900K will have 8 performance cores and 16 efficiency cores if I recall correctly. Many of the mobile CPUs in 12th gen also have more efficiency than performance cores.


For the desktop, they mostly have more P cores than E cores. For mobile chips, it's reversed.
