Same! I absolutely hate the amount of empty space everywhere on my 1080p screen.

Yeah, same reaction for me... I've always liked the small gradients on the top and the long list of things down the left side which I never click. Felt homely. I'll miss it.

I pray that one day colors other than just white and light grays return to the backgrounds of elements on the web. The zealot inside of me also wishes for skeuomorphism to make a glorious comeback, but I may not see that in my lifetime.
