I think the point of the Fairphone is that usually, the motherboard lives longer than the rest. The goal is to keep the motherboard for as long as possible, by replacing the modules around.

If your motherboard died... well that's unfortunate, but I believe it's not supposed to be the norm.

I, for one, am super happy with my 3+.
