I'm glad the writer pointed out the fact that banning the app wouldn't really fix the underlying issue. What is to keep a clone of the app being created locally in the U.S. this feels like better regulation on apps used by minors and an education on its effects would be more effective. Even a refocus on corporate goals to be beneficial to their users health instead of pure profits. A cultural evolution at all levels of society.

Yeah absolutely, author seems to have some sort of a deranged trad-fash agenda. Wildly infantilizing and inflexible viewpoint, it very much seems like they started with an opinion, and then wrote an article to justify it.
