Anyone using V Programming Language? (vlang.io)

Fell over this relatively new programming language. I normally don't get so excited about new programming languages, but this seems to improve on a lot of the things I dislike about Go while having a lot of the benefits of Go.

Do anyone use V Lang in production? Or for other things? What are your experiences wit this?

Think its going to be hard to gauge or get responses on HN, because of the tremendous amount of animosity and trolling from competitors and detractors the language has previously received on here. This can be seen or realized from past threads. Many V supporters are less likely to come here and get engaged in more battles, while supporters of other languages don't have to go through that or to that extent. Mentioning Go, even if innocently, can come across as a setup for another language war thread.

In terms of usage, maybe some places you can get metrics on this are below. You can also do comparisons between languages:

Personally, I have experimented with V, along with other newer languages. Have found it quite useful for IT related tasks and like it. As the language is in beta, don't use it for anything critical (yet), but non-critical and fun. Probably it would be good to ask on their GitHub, as they are one of the languages that have open discussions.

Hey Tozen,

Didn't know about this animosity or the fights that have happened. That was definitely not my intention to spur anything up. I have used Go extensively in many projects and in generally very happy when I need that kinda language (statically compiled, more "secure" handling of errrors etc.)

Thanks Tozen, I am checking them out now :)
