Show HN: Printnanny.ai, Monitoring for 3D Printers (printnanny.ai)

Hi, Leigh here! I created PrintNanny to monitor my 3D printers, with the detection/monitoring system running locally on a Raspberry Pi. I didn't feel comfortable sending camera frames up to the cloud constantly.

I ended up rolling my own Linux distro (with Yocto) to distribute the computer vision stack, along with my favorite tools like OctoPrint, Tailscale, and Syncthing. Install instructions: https://printnanny.ai/docs/quick-start/create-printnanny-os-...

I just started selling quick-start kits in the US too: https://printnanny.ai/shop/raspberry-pi-4-kit

This is incredible. This could have saved me perhaps hundreds of grams of filament. Your userbase must be exploding!

Thank you so much! We're still quite small, just a few hundred people on Discord. Invite link, if you want to join the fun: https://discord.gg/sf23bk2hPr
