> Roughly 68 percent of the universe is dark energy and 27 percent is dark matter.

Dark matter is hypothetical and dark energy is assumed but some studies purport it's standing as questionable. The more popsci I read the less I want to read

There aren't enough eyeballs to roll for science reporting these days. The hubris alone is revolting.

Finally, web design perfection.

Well, it doesn't block zooming in, like most modern "mobile" designs... A win for me.

It is certainly incredible how much effort is spent in making interfaces less accessible than they would have been with less effort, isn't it?

It's like we don't deserve nice things.

But we do! I'm one of those "the old web was better" people and really believe that if we combine the simplicity of the old web, modern browsers and a splash of modern reason (to ditch things like flash), and we have a sweet spot. Web in which lacking accessibility can be addressed by tooling like screen readers, reading mode, enforcing your own custom css, or full text in RSS.

This is an interesting one, because I used to see people making broad-reaching theories on cosmology or world order conspiracies, and they use scientific-like language, joggling words. Most times their method is to pose a bold and broad question and immediately get a simplistic answer. This guy is different, more like a priest or future teller that catches a teenager in the street and talks them into giving money.

> SUPPORT TIMECUBE OR BE CURSED.

Oh no!

> Till You KNOW 4 Simultaneous Days Rotate In Same 24 Hours Of Earth You Don't Deserve To Live On Earth

Funnily, in my country, these crazy people also make some words all caps. That's sort of a signature of detaching from reality.

In my country we call them "politicians".

This person makes some interesting points. We should hear them out.

> Belly-Button Logic Works.

I stopped reading after this

You missed out on a fantastic two sentences that immediately follow that

> Flat as far as the eye can see

50 km on a good day.

> 50 km on a good day.

I'm married. I don't have good days.

If that's not because of children then that's your own fault. You married the wrong person, plain and simple. Or else it could be that marriage isn't for you.

People marrying for happiness and being happy is a thing.

Yikes

A relevant video by Veritasium which provides a lot more context: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lFlu60qs7_4

> six protons per 1.3 cubic yards

I assume this is some weird attempt to translate "cubic meter" for a US audience?

The universe is shaped like a doughnut.

> As far as cosmologists can tell, space is almost perfectly flat.

I knew it. Yet every now and then comes someone claiming that the earth is round. /s
